Gaming on laptop with eGPU different vendor then integrated graphics
I feel like this might be a weird combination. But I want to use bazzite on my intel based laptop. I want to then use my AMD eGPU when I game. Genrally this laptop would boot to desktop and just be used for general use. But when I go on trips, I would like to plug in the eGPU and switch to game mode (still booting to desktop), Is this even possible? If so which version would I be use as my base download

Activating Steam Gaming Mode
Hi guys, I installed a version of Bazzite without selecting the Steam Gaming mode,
Since i read that Steam Gaming Mode is different than Big Picture, I was wondering if there is a way to "reactivate" Steam Gaming Mode, or if I have to reinstall a version with it ?

No HDMI audio
Hey guys, have a new install of Bazzite on a system with a 9060 XT. I have no sound coming from HDMI. I have 4 HDMI audio devices for some reason: Navi 48 HDMI/DP Autio Controller Pro (7,8,9). The only options for them in the system sound settings are off and pro mode.
The PC is conntected to an LG CX TV via HDMI...

Remapping Mouse Buttons - Logitech MX Ergo
Can I rebind the scroll tilt buttons on my Logitech MX Ergo to switch desktops? It doesn't seem to do anything at all from default. The "Extra Mouse Buttons" in KDE settings does not detect the buttons being pressed. Solarr detects my mouse but changing the bindings there does not seem to change anything.
Nvidia HDR with Lutris in desktop mode
Hi, all! I'm experimenting with Bazzite (love it!) and I'm doing a test with Nvidia and HDR in desktop mode. I am running the nvidia-open image. I downloaded the Stellar Blade demo, ran it once, then added it with Lutris. I went into system options, enabled gamescope and HDR and then enabled HDR on my display. In the game, the HDR option is locked and cannot be enabled. My understanding was that you could use launch options in Steam to enable Gamescope HDR. I assumed Lutris was doing the same thing with this option. Is that expected to work? Is there some other way to enable HDR support without using the deck image?

Solution:
Adding ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 solves the washed-out HDR issue. Any clue why that would be required?
Bluefin>Bazzite Cockpit setup ujust problem
I have Cockpit installed from when I had Bluefin DX. Rebased to Bazzite DX. I want to install Cockpit-Machines for VM config and monitoring. However, Cockpit is not part of the ujust packages for Bazzite DX. There is a brew package to add Cockpit-Machines in ~/.local/share/applications (probably a remanent from Bluefin?) . However, it won't work because Cockpit is installed in rpm-ostree and Brew is disabled for root. The brew package must be a Universal Blue exclusive as it doesn't show up in bbrew.
I need to either: uninstall cockpit or figure out how I could add cockpit-machines.
Note for development: should rebase of Bluefin DX delete cockpit package? Or should Cockpit setup be in Bazzite DX?...
Unable to reboot successfully
Every time I try to reboot through any method, the computer hangs at shutdown with a cursor at the top left of one screen.
It will remain like this indefinitely, until I hard shut down the computer.
Because of this, any rpm-ostree changes like reset or rollback will not take effect because the reboot never successfully finishes....
The installer does not create a user
I'm trying to install bazzite on a Onexfly F1 Pro. I chose the ISO image for consoles from onexplayer. If I specify my username instead of the default bazzite, I'm greeted with a login window after the installation completes, asking me to manually enter the username and password. Even if the password was blank or set, the system still returns an error that the password is incorrect. This suggests that the installer didn't create any user in the system.
Making rclone mount drive on startup
Hey I am new to Linux and Bazzite, and I am trying to get my Proton cloud drive to work like it does on windows.
I would like the drive to automatically mount and be visible in dolphin and synch any file changes, local or remote automatically. I can run the terminal commands for rclone and get the drive mounted, but if I close the terminal or restart the PC the drive is gone.
I have tried to google the answer but i cant find anything that makes sense to me.
Hope someone can help....
Bazzite no longer connects to my network
After using bazzite 42 for a few hours last night, all internet traffic stops (wired), but I was still connected to my local network. After a restart, NetworkManager gave an error "IP configuration was not available", and would not connect to the local network at all.
Desktop GUI Crashing (ROG Ally)
Everything was fine until i think last 2 weeks Whenever I go to desktop mode it loads good - I can open the apps on my "favorites" "on the task bar" and everything but when I try to click the bazzite icon on the lower left and click any folders like "All Applications" it will crash and restart the GUI then when I try to do it again it will repeat the issue then it will became blank screen but I found out that It's not frozen because when I try to click the physical button for Steam app, it pulls up the steam app and left me no GUI for the desktop so I cant even restart or do anything and forced to restart the device.
PS. I've tried ujust-fix-reset-steam but the issue is still there....
Wrong resolution on when playing X11 games
When i try to play games, for example CS2, Helldivers 2, etc. the resolution is always set to 3840x2160, even though my monitor only supports up to 1920x1080. I've also tried changing it with xrandr, but it just says this: X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

ROG Ally wake up input and bluetooth
Last weekend (28 Sep), the sleep and wake up function was working fine (there was like 2-3sec lag but I was ok with it and the input was immediate). Within this week after few bazzite system updates and steam updates, the suspend behave weirdly. After waking up the device, it takes like 20-30sec for steam to detect my input. Steam also randomly switching the xbox button icon from the green/red one to white one on the bottom right while this input bug from wake happen.
Outside of this wake up input bug, I also had issue with the bluetooth. Both steam game mode and on desktop mode, I did turned on and off the bluetooth and it did nothing. It will not display any available device even in desktop mode. When I go to the bluetooth settings in desktop mode, there are no pairing option/button or configure option/button on the top right of the setting page. Only button to toggle on/off bluetooth. Also, on my main dekstop PC, my bluetooth setting is 'restore previous settings on log in' but everytime I turn on my PC, bluetooth is always turn off even though last time the bluetooth was on when I shut down my PC.
I am thinking on reinstalling bazzite but the process of redownloading my games and setting up everything again is not fun and really demotivating for me personally....
Solution:
Finally found out why this bug happened. Had a chat with Gemini AI on this bug and the AI said something about the bluetooth adapter on the Rog Ally being in a 'bad state'. One of the AI solution was to cold reboot by shutting down the device and press and hold the power button really long to discharge some of the components inside. I did that and yeah the bluetooth suddenly works after that lol. I never had this 'bad state' bluetooth issue before. After this, both the bluetooth and the controll...
Allowing Grub Theme Customization
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is not possible ATM as this changes files that are read only
Any theme to use with grub is something I've always done before immutable

Fps drop after resume from sleep
Using bazzite on handheld for the sleep function, but having issue of fps drop after resume and having to restart to fix it.
Found several complaints of this issue on google but nothing here and no solutions so far. Is there any workaround or fix for this? Have tried reinstalling bazzite but no avail.
Been using for few months now, updating to latest version each time doesnt work either.
Pls help, having to restart everytime is more annoying than using hibernate on windows...
