Beacon contact not being used for bed mesh when enabled

Moving to a MRW bed so enabled beacon contact and enabled all the extra features to use it including bed mesh. Ztilt and homing use contact as they should except for bed meshing what am i missing here any ideas?.

mcu 'mcu': unable to connect Klipper Error in vMinion

The other day I decided to run a full software update on my vMinion printer. Immediately after the update I was able to complete several prints without any problems. I shut the printer down at the end of the day, and when I restarted it the next morning I received the following error message: mcu 'mcu': unable to connect. I've tried rebooting and restarting the printer but the error persists. It seems that something broke during the updating process. I've attached the moonraker.log and kli...
Solution:
I solved the problem via these steps: 1) Used SSH to find MCU serial path with the following command: ls /dev/serial/by-id/* and copied the path delivered by the command. 2) I then opened printer.cfg and added a mcu section. 3) I then pasted the serial path copied in step 1 into the mcu section as follows: serial: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-Klipper_stm32f429xx_btt-skr-2-429-if00. 4) I saved the printer.cfg and restarted the printer. On restart, connection problem was eliminated.

#VAOC cam not recognised

#VAOC Good morning to everyone. I am into finishing to build my V-core 4 (300 version with IDEX) and I'm stuck on VAOC cam because windows do not recognize the cam. When I connect her to my pc and ensure that everything is working prior to go ahead, the computer makes the usual sound of devices connected and disconnected (pretty fast, every 2 seconds) or no sounds at all if I change the USB port. ...

Move out of range during print near X limits

I was trying to print something that is a 400mm circle with my VC4 400 IDEX. I'm getting move out of range error with both extruders when they get near the other end of the bed. So Extruder 0 when approaching X 400 gives "Move out of range: 397.365 168.739 0.306 [23446.058]" And Extruder 1 approaching X 0 gives error "Move out of range: 1.512 208.850 0.257 [1020.967]" ...

Invalid RatOS / Configurator under Machine Page

was trying to check the updates -soft recovery doesn't work -branch: RC3 I have attached logs for reference. And I am not quite sure where I can fix it....

A little help setting up the vaoc on my vc4 please. getting error 'has no attribute 'z_offset_probe'

Getting the above error massage when trying to calibrate the VAOC. If anyone is able to shed some light on this I'd really appreciate it. Many thanks

Klipper shutdown

Please help, I've gone through every wire to the bigtree and triple checked the documents. Anytime i try to move the Carriage for a Idex setup, 10 mm left or right, i get this fault "Unable to read tmc uart 'dual_carriage' register IFCNT" It then goes into a klipper shutdown

Heater Rate Issue

Anyone have an idea how to change the variable such that the heater rate is allowed to be less? I installed the Ratroaster by Backwoods Tinkerer and get the following error unless I slowly step up the heater setpoints like in 5C increments. I think the fan works so well and turns on immediately that it takes a bit longer for the heater to start heating up, so hoping there's a variable I can change to allow for a slower heat rate before it shuts down the system. Thanks,

layershifting Problems

Hello, I have a VCore 4 500 IDEX and I am having problems starting it up. I keep having layershifting no matter how much I have reduced the speed and belt tension. What could be the cause of the problem? Is it normal for the T1 toolhead to collide when calibrating? Is it normal that the VAOC does not find a webstream?...

IDEX Head collision while heating up

sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong channel .... I think it's an printer issue, not a RotOS issue... https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1350126532214919168...

Jamming around the same point in the print

I am trying to print a very important part, but my extruder keeps stripping the filament and stops extruding around 2 hours into the print. I have tried different gcode for the same part, so I don’t think it’s a problem there. The nozzle is not clogging because if I push the filament after it strips then it grabs the filament again and keeps going. Vcore 4 500 hybrid with rapido 2 UHF and orbiter 2. I have heard about a bad batch of rapidos, is this a sign of that? And if so is there and short t...
Solution:
Turns out I have a defective thermistor, so I was printing far to cold and the extruder couldn’t push the filament through

Squeeky timing pulley

Hi, I've upgraded to IDEX and redone all the belts and re-tensioned everything. The timing pulley on the left X now makes a tiny squeeky noise for every full turn. I've narrowed it down to the set screws, if I untighten them, the squeeky sound is gone, so my only conclusion is that they somehow scrape over the motor shaft when moving... I've tried a lower belt tension but this doesn't seem to help a lot, only unscrewing the set screws. So my question is actually: how important is it that these screws are set? I guess the pulley can now move a little with the belt, but is this a big issue? Lot's of belt wear or something?...
Solution:
those screws should be tight against the shaft and should absolutely not be sliding around

I have tried a new Cable for both end stops one that works and the one that is unsure at this point if it worked. both say triggered and dont change to open when clicked....

Bed/Gantry Leveling VCore 4 IDEX 500

I am having a hard time leveling the bed on my VCore 4 IDEX 500. During the commissioning process, I tried to follow the directions and lower the extrusions at the rear to get rid of the low spots. However, even with a lot of movement, I wasn't able to get less than ~0.55. (See image w/tape for how far I tried moving them.) After going through the rest of the commissioning steps relatively fruitfully, I found that my prints were failing oddly (see below) and thought the bed leveling may have been leading to the issue. Therefore, I tried returning to the bed leveling efforts. I tried releasing all the downward tension I had put on the extrusions, and as is visible in the images ("RealseTension"), it gave me the same range and shape as always. After reading a couple threads on here I thought maybe it was the X-Axis, so I tried tightening it ("TightenedXAxis") and then fully loosing all screws and retightening ("ReattachedXAxis"). None of this seems to make a real difference in the shape of the bed - and annoyingly the final solution is even worse....
Solution:
I ended up using some shim stock from amazon to level the X-axis. The more I thought about it the more it made sense the issue was a warped X-axis or bed because the curvature in X is consistent front to back. The front to back lean comes from the Z-tilt calibration trying to enforce a plane across its three measurement points. So if the middle is higher the rear value will be off and cause the while thing to tilt. I created a quick spreadsheet to find an average offset value for the area between each bolt on the X rail and then shimmed between each of the bolts. I ended up having to make small changes about 6 times before I got something I am happy with (partly because using snips on the shim stock caused the edges to be a little thicker than the rest of the shim). may revisit at some point as still not perfect but I have other issues to chase now....

bed flat/even but bed mash shows different

Hi hope hope anyone can help menwit an idea what the reason could be . Ratrig 3.1 400 Ratos 2.1 with beacon . I installed a new images set all up calibrated the beacon bed mash around 0.3 ( see picture) after some testprints i played a bit around with the bed mashed and get from one mash to the next 1,2mm but in an angle from front to back . checked multiple times allwas around that result . i checked the distances nozzle bed in all corners and all the same the the shown bedmash is wrong . i recalibrated the beacon a few times allways the same result . tried a print one side in air one side nearly milled into the plate . i habe no idea anymore what else i can try only changes on the beacon i did was changing the offset to 30 ( also changes back no difference) and to invrease the ponts in xand y . I realy hope on someone with an idea BR Thomas...
