Replacing MGN12C rails with MGN12H

Hey RR family, I need to replace the X rail and the 2 Y rails on my VC3.1 300 - will changing the 12C blocks to 12H be a problem for the stock parts? I assume i won't need to change anything. I have the new Toolhead upgrade also. Thank you!...

MCU unable to connect

I was mounting a spring to get strength to the umbilical cord, it was just a small part to understand how better it was getting. But I endup assemble it all, and when I was getting close to the toodhead, the fans turn on. I turn off the printer and when I turn it on I got the "MCU 'TOOLBOARD T1' unable to connect" error (first picture error on the touchscreen). I search for any disconnect cable (as happened in past) but I couldn't find any. I turn a few off and connect it again. Then I got a different error "MCU 'MCU' unable to connect" (second picture error on the touchscreen), and it stays like that....

Beacon probe Z-offset is consistently too far from build plate

I've ran into this issue while installing and recommissioning my 500 V-core 3.0 with a new Toolhead V1.0 assembly. Every print starts the first layer too fat from the build surface (textured PEI sheet). I will baby step the print in to a good layer height and save it with "SAVE_Z_OFFSET" via console as per the RatRig Beacon documentation. I'll get a confirmation in console of the new thermal expansion compensation multiplier being saved, and entering SAVE_CONFIG once the print is done. I have no idea if the response I am getting of "The new multiplier value has been saved to the configuration" is correct or not. It doesn't exactly sounds like the correct response for a manual Z offset adjustment On the very next print the first layer will be nearly exactly as where it started on the first print pre-baby stepping. It's as if RatOS is overwritting the old Z-offset at the start of each print. My current understanding is that manually entered adjustments should be saved. I should note that at the start of each print I get a very consistent "Nozzle expansion offset" of -0.043281mm just before the printer starts printing, regarldess if I babystepped the previous print or not. What I would like help with is:...

extrusion differences between near identical printers

Hi Folks, I have two vcore 300 printers. One is vcore3.0, the other vcore3.1. Both printers have very much the same hardware - octopus pro, rapido 2 uhf, orbiter 2, same TC 0.4 nozzles from West 3D. The 3.1 noticeably underextrudes as compared to the other when running the same gcode and same roll of plastic. I'd always expect slight differences between printers - but the difference in this case is quite noticeable on top surfaces and I need to find some way to address it....

Unstable Z (@calibration)

Running My Z calibration seems to jump by at least 0.6mm after i changed BL touch Z offset. e.g. i adjust the "z offset" by 0.05mm and the physical offset changes from the usual range of -0.1 to +0.1mm, to the something like -0.2mm to +0.8mm - with a large random element to it. Config snip (including previous value): BL Touch...

Unloading during printing

Hello, my printer decided last night to initialize an unload filament command during printing, I tried to print a previous gcode that worked, but got the same unload. The peinthead stops, extrude a big blob of plastic then unloads. Any ideea? Ratos debug attached...

Filament detector doesn't seem to act properly

I have it installed now, but had to unplug it. As it is no... - With filament loaded it displays "empty" in Klipper, refuses to print unless I disable it with the toggle, and the toggle resets after each print - If I use Klipper to unload filament it seems that everything ejects fine - If I feel filament its triggering the extruder to eject (stepper spinning backwards) - Lighted ring is working, though not indicating properly...

odd behavior involving tool head fans

I'm going through the commissioning process, and the first issue I came across was that my part cooling fan was stuck at Mach 12. After days of trial and error, I randomly stumbled on the idea to move the PWM wire from the tool board to the control board... and weirdly, it worked? (I have no idea why.) At that point, I just accepted it and moved on. ...

_BEACON_APPLY_RUNTIME_MULTIPLIER

Hi. I run into "Error evaluating 'gcode_macro _BEACON_APPLY_RUNTIME_MULTIPLIER:gcode': ZeroDivisionError: float division by zero". It only happens during printing if I change the Z-offset or toolhead. I know some users have already brought this up, but no solution to it, or I missed it. I have decommissioned twice with no success. I have done VAOC and end-stop calibration twice, but nothing. What could it be? Thanks in advance for your help.

Am I screwed?

I was rebuilding my toolhead... went to heat up the hotend and noticed it wasn't heating up, after taking the hotend off, i noticed the heater wires have come off the ceramic of the Phaetus Rapido.. (not sure if it's the 2, it came with my VC3.1 kit about 3 years ago)... what can i do? am i screwed, or can i fix it myself?

Can't figure out why this noise exists...

Hey gang! For the life of me, I can't figure out where this horrid noise is coming from, this is just on the Y movement, during IS graph generation, but also appears during printing. Can someone point in in the direction this might be coming from? I've taken the hotend fan off because I thought it might have been resonance with the fan, but it still exists. Recently installed the RR 3.1 tool head upgrade, but the previous EVA also made the same noise. RR VCore 3.1 300, PUHF2, Pinda...

TMC 'extruder' reports error: GSTAT: 00000001 reset=1(Reset)

Hi all, I have recently been hit with a spate of GStat errors on my T0 extruder (IDEX VCore4 400mm). I have searched far and wide for a solution, with my attempted fixes including; - Swapper extruder motors between T0 and T1 ...

Cannot Connect to Moonraker (randomly, frequently, during prints or just sitting there)

Hey folks. RatOS will randomly drop a "cannot connect to moonraker" error, pretty regularly and without pattern it seems. It happnes both during printing and when there's nothing happening. I'll be connected to the machine, viewing my cameras or what have you, and then suddenly connection drops and it either can be refreshed and come back, or drops entirely untill I power cycle the printer. Some more specific symptoms:...

Toolhead configuration cannot be deserialized

During the setup i get this error message when configuring the toolboard. Also the fans connected to the toolboard are doing the opposite, they are supposed to (running with 100% when they should be off and the other way around). How do i fix this? I have a v-core 4 in the base configuration with BTT EBB 42 CAN V1.2 toolhead....
Solution:
Try starting the config from scratch and selecting a different model and ‘start fresh’. Then go back and select the correct model

IDEX T1 not correctly bounded on X

After seemingly no changes to something that was working previously I have found that my T1 is considering x=500 to be substantially far off the side of the bed. Debug steps so far: - Deleted all of the CALCULATE_DC_ENDSTOP details from my printer.cfg - Performed _VAOC_RESET...
Solution:
In any case, for the bot: The solution was an issue with Rotation Distances for the X steppers. I am not sure why they were changed. They should be 40....

Move exceeds maximum extrusion

Can someone please tell me where I can increase the extrusion limit on my V-Core 4.0? I'm using a 1mm nozzle, and the default value is much too small.

Rat Rig 500 Hybrid Y-Axis jumping and loud noise

I have built a few RR V-Core 4 500s but have never encountered this before. The X-axis runs smoothly, but the Y-axis moves in the right direction with many jumps and noises. I have pulled apart the motor mounts and checked if there are any issues with the bearings, but it looks all fine. I have no explanation for it and need some help to sort this out. Any help is appreciated.

Fan speed problems during toolchange

Hi guys, I am getting my Vcore4 500 IDEX dialed in and I'm having trouble with multimaterial prints. I would like the T0 part cooling fan to run at 100% and the T1 part cooling fan to run at 20%. I am using Orcaslicer which is outputting the (supposedly) proper M106 commands right before each toolhead switch, i.e.: M106 S51 T1 X265.885 Y240.469 ...

Wrong hotbed temperatur.

I upgraded my printer with a Orbitool toolboard and after gone true the setup my hotbed thermistor shows 7 cellsius in roomtemp (not connected to toolboard BTW), i use a laser to se what the real temperatur is and ther is a differens of 17 degreas. i have tryed 3 different thermistors and its the same problem so it must be a software isue, i can find the pullup_resistor for the hotend but where is the hotbed hiding? cant seem to find it, and is there a bether way to callibrate the thermistors ? and second whay is hotend powerdraw in celsius. can i fix that?...
