Configuration issues

Hi, ratos cant see octopus board, i have installed new fat32 32gb sandisk pro card, and still it is not working. DFU also deosnt work, after putting jumper and clicking "restart" status led is not flashing, and dfu button doesnt light up. Please help

Stepper driver warning: OTPW flag set The stepper driver 'stepper_z2' has triggered the OTPW flag and may stop working if it gets any hotter. This is an indication of an over temperature condition. Extruder error

I keep getting this error and im uncertain of the reason I've checked all my cables and have made sure thag everything is connected properly.Not sure what this issue could be as it just keeps getting worse and worse. I can't even home as it give me the same error.

Strange non straight parallel lines while printing

Vcore4 500: I can't figure it out - why are those lines not straight. I can't feel any binding on both Y and X movements. If I make a smaller print it doesn't show up. Also I am not sure I see the same defect on the opposite diagonal.

Solution:

And not sure why I didn't take into consideration your reply... It turns out it is over extrusion and lowering the extrusion factor this is issue is resolved... I should learn to read what it is actually written. Thank you for your reply.

Belt tension graph not sure how to proceed.

Been having issues recently so thought id take it back to square 1 and reccomision my VC4 500. I have just rerun the belt tension graph and got this not sure whats wrong and causing the weird hump to the right. Any suggestions welcome

Can't access my printer at http://ratos.local

Hi there good fellows. I am using windows 10 and happened that my browser can't access ratos.local Don't know why. First I connected my wifi to the ratOs Hotspot using password raspberry and everything fine... So I expected to connect via browser as well because it is the next step at the commissioning guide. No problem. Tried my mobile phone using android and exactly the same answear. Any guess how to solve this?...

BTT SKRat V1.0 V-minion X and Y endstops will not trigger.

i believe i am out of options on what to do for the title issue. i have arranged the wires for the X and Y endstops appropiately for the SKRat board and per the RATos documentation. signal and ground are hooked up for each, both have correct pin mapping, pullup's have been added to each endstop pin, and i have physically checked voltage and continuity for all connections, wires, switches, etc.... the only way i can see them "triggered" is if i add the ! in front of the applicable pin. below is m...

"No Beacon model loaded" after attempting to run "BEACON_INITIAL_CALIBRATION"

Hello all, I am attempting first time commissioning of an IDEX Ratrig Vcore4 500 printer. As mentioned in the title, I run into a snag when attempting to run "BEACON_INITIAL_CALBRATION". I get through homing all axes and print head T0 moves to the center of the plate and then "No Beacon model loaded" is output to the console 5 times. I've tried some light troubleshooting from the beacon documentation such as listing what models are available (there are none) and trying to generate my own default (unsuccessful). Does anyone know what I am missing here? I will continue to troubleshoot but I was hoping to find this is a somewhat common and easy issue to resolve. Thanks in advance!...

Solution:

I'g going to close this as I ended up finding a solution on my own. My problem ended up being that the beacon probe wasn't fond of one of the usb ports on my raspberry pi. I switched to an open port on the usb waveshare pi hat and that resolved my issues immediately.

MCU SHUTDOWN: stepper too far in past. only on pause resumes

I just finished building a rat v4 500 hybrid. Everything seems to be functioning but anytime the printer pauses, when I resume the print it IMMEDIATELY throws MCU shut down error. I am unsure what to change or where to start....

Solution:

I fixed it!! I added a .5 second delay to the resume g code...

Orbiter motor skipping steps

Hello. I have encountered a problem with Orbiter extruder motor. After a while, printing with enclosed RR, extruder starts to skip steps. It feels very hot, although I can not measure the temperature, but also I can not touch it for a few seconds because of the heat. Any ideas what to do?

Layer shifts destroying perfect prints

ADC out of range

hi all i got a vcore 3 , installed ratos v2.1.0-RC3-0-g9f8d27d3. the error adc out of range , i know its somthing to do with the wiring and what socket the 2 sencors sit in according to the printer.cfg. but no matter if i choose a new socket and change the setting within printer.cfg nothing seems to work and just keep getting the same error....

IDEX 500 erroring when going to print from second toolhead

I'm running into an issue. have an IDEX 500 and it errors as soon as it starts using the second extruder during the print. It does the blob and purge just fine. The frustrating part is it was printing perfectly fine before. I can't find any changes in the Prusa Slicer but now it errors out every time... 😕 This is the error message from the console: 3:00 PM Move exceeds maximum extrusion (1.915mm^2 vs 1.440mm^2)...

Beacon poke test failed on BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE

I am setting up a second VC-4 500 IDEX and getting a Beacon poke test error. This setup is a deviation from a standard build with a full MRW kit, Toro3D Ti tube, and Chube Air. I checked all fasteners, on the gantry, head, and z-axis. I added the modified y offset to the printer.cfg. Initial Beacon calibrate states 0.0041 sd. Guidance is appreciated? Thank you....

Belt tension/Belt slipping

Hello lovely people. I'm wondering what the highest acceleration you guys have achieved with the v-core 4? I've just begun printing with my V-core 4 IDEX 400mm and the belts on the X axis keep slipping if I have higher than 4000mm2 acceleration. And if I put more tension on the belts it slips out of the clip on the toolhead. I did manage to print a replacement clip I found on printables which seems to be working somewhat better. But it still slips if I increase tension much more than before. ...

Solution:

The belts coming out of the toolhead mounts, from my understanding, is a known issue. Shoudl either get the belt clips from Wade @ mandala or use the vzbot style clips.
