Game progress being lost

I just started using Heroic as before I just used Whiskey but didn't like it's lack of UI, so I switched but I had some windows games from websites like itch on Whisky and of course added most of them, but when I opened them from the launcher some of the games kept my progress while others lost all of it. I very confused and just want to know why this may of happened and how to fix it.

Unable to launch Shadow Warrior 2 with GOG.

When I launch the game normally (with gog integration) the window pops up for a second then crashes with the following errors. I've also tried launching it with gamemode off, it still crashes. Thems fighting herd black screen

Whenever i try to launch the game a black screen appears and no matter how long i wait it doesnt change. im on mac so im using whisky to play the game through heroic's epic games thing.

4:3 games off center and can't be clicked.

Hello, I've noticed that older games that run i a 4:3 aspect ratio (in this case, the return to freddy's 2.), are offscreen by a lot, and can barely be interacted with. Any insight?

Salt and Sanctuary not starting

I downloaded Salt and sanctuary from epic games onto heroic and when i tried to press play it shows me a screen of the game for a split second then gives me an error popup

MACBOOK PRO M1 STEAM ISSUE

so i got heroic launcher recently and everything works with downloading games through GOG or epic games but with steam is a big no no ... i can launch it but if i try to download something it says no internet connection and im confused why? and its the same if i try launch steam with Crossover.. it only works if i have a VPN on which might seem like problem fixed but clearly its not any better. the speeds are like 10mbps but without a VPN i get 900 mbps which is a huge difference so it would tak...

Games crash instantly when run by clicking "Play" but will work fine if run via "Run exe on prefix".

So as the title says, If I try to launch the a game like Baldur's Gate 3 or Kingdom Come Deliverance by clicking on Play it will instantly crash after the launcher. But it seems to work 100% fine if I run games through Settings --> "Run exe on prefix". I've installed Heroic via the AUR(arch linux). If needed I'll add any log file requested....

ValueError failed to mach proton/path with a container runtime

Full error ValueError: Failed to match '/home/david/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/Proton-5.6-GE-2' with a container runtime Seems to be a UMU issue because Lutris has it too. Disabling UMU and using Steam runtime works fine. Only fails to use steam proton versions and I can't find anything online for it....

I'm trying to figure out how to get lsfg to work with my hands I bought through gog and launching with heroic. I have heroic games added to steam. I tried several ways and haven't gotten it right yet. Tried env vars, wrapper, steam launch config. Not sure what the right way is with my setup....

Diablo4 Help

Hi, I'm running bazzite for the first time and am running into performance issues. I'm using a laptop using a 3050m. I've sucesfully installed D4 onto my machine using heroic but im running into isseus. The ground textures disappear after 2 seconds and then the game starts to slowly crash. I also noticed its using vulkan instead of dx? I'm using the latest version of ge-proton. After the game crashes I cant alt+f4 or use any shortcuts to close it or use kill commands....

EGS Robocop Heroic/Linux issues and sollutions

So last night I was trying to get Robocop to work. Its the EGS version, I’m on Bazzite and run it in Heroic. Runner is Proton-GE latest. First the game gives an error ”path not found” and doesn’t start. The prefix is missing ”program files (X86)/epic games”, after creating this folder the game runs fine. The second problem is, that once you exit the game to desktop, it gets an ”fatal world leakage” error when trying to load a game past the main menu. Digging out the gameusersettings.ini in appdata, there is a flag ”bNotFirstTimeRunningGame” that we can set back to ”false”. As long as we keep resetting this flag, the game works. You could set the file read-only, it just wont save any changes made in the settings after that....

Games not being added to steam

Just got a steam deck and was adding some of my gog games to my steam library. Was able to add games initially (added thief 2 and Deus ex) then all of a sudden it has stopped worked. Either having the "add games automatically" setting or individually adding the games with "add to steam" does nothing. This stopped working after I added T2fix mod as I wanted to add fan missions. I added the exe to the install of Thief 2 then added t2fix as a game to heroic then used the "run exe on prefex" to start the patching process. I then removed the T2fix game I created along with its prefex folder (I'm very new to this so still figuring out linux). Since then I've not been able to add any games to steam at all, adding them and rebooting steam or the deck just gives me the option in heroic to add it again which does nothing. Additionally adding the exe via steam doesn't seem to work either, though it works with other apps like gimp and blender. I've also reinstalled heroic launcher and deleted any prefixes files that were left over, along with deleting user settings via discover. So I don't know what's left to do, clearly I'm missing something or need to enable an option....

Grand Theft Auto 5 installation not found

GTA V previously worked flawlessly. I played it no more than a week ago. Now for the last couple of days when I launch from Heroic the Rockstar Games launcher seems to have forgotten that I own it and is unable to detect it. I followed the instructions in the FAQ and Github and nothing has changed. Heroic seems to be having trouble getting Epic and the RGL to communicate with each other.

Unable to launch Force Unleashed from Amazon

When attempting to lauch the icon briefly spins then returns to "launch game (with logs)". Tried installing d3dx9_43 and d3dcompiler_47 through Winetricks but got still have the same problem.
