JoinWhy does Heroic use the system Wine to run installers (option “Run installer first”)?
Hi, I’m just wondering why Heroic uses the system-wide Wine to run game installers. Is it possible to use Proton or the optimized Wine version included in Heroic instead?
Solution:
Hmm, I used the “Select Executable” option to try running the installer, and then I could see the logs inside Heroic Launcher. It was requiring python3. After installing it, the “Run installer first” option works now.

I already installed GTA 5 on Heroic and already installed Rockstar Game Launcher on Crossover, I follow a yt tutorial on how to add Menyoo and other stuff into gta 5, when i did it all the game crashes after selecting "Story Mode" why is that? can someone help me

Battle.net wont launch
Install goes well and I can login, after closing and launching again it wont open anymore.
Tried changing proton versions, tried disabling umu, tried enable wine-wayland. Nothing seems to work......
Store pages not showing as logged into my account
I have logged into my epic and gog accounts using “Manage Accounts” and it’s showing my games in the library but the store pages show that I’m still not logged in
Rocket League Crashes
I face a weird crash sometimes when I enter a match, randomly, can't find a pattern for what matches the crash happens at, it happens just after joining the lobby and the match starts then game crashes, when I open the game again I'm asked to rejoin the match, when I try to rejoin the game crashes again just after the match map loads.
the crashes seems to be match specific, if i didn't rejoin the match and wait my afk penality i can join other matches with no crashes, till it happens again randomly, what can I do?...
Solution:
Just nuke the prefix, yes you will have to do tutorial again but it is just one match
Update process from GOG stuck with high memory usage
Hey there!
When trying to update Cyberpunk 2077 to the latest patch, the download will work for a few seconds (I can notice download speeds of around 100-110Mb/s on my system monitor), then completely stop.
If I wait enough time in this state, I can see a process called
gogdl completely fill the 64G of RAM of my machine over the course of the next 30-45 minutes. Cancelling the update or closing Heroic does not closes down those processes, which will continue filling my RAM.
If I let the update run long enough, the OOM killer will just completely kill the process and make Heroic freeze in the process.
