Rocket League Crashes

I face a weird crash sometimes when I enter a match, randomly, can't find a pattern for what matches the crash happens at, it happens just after joining the lobby and the match starts then game crashes, when I open the game again I'm asked to rejoin the match, when I try to rejoin the game crashes again just after the match map loads. the crashes seems to be match specific, if i didn't rejoin the match and wait my afk penality i can join other matches with no crashes, till it happens again randomly, what can I do?...

Solution:

Just nuke the prefix, yes you will have to do tutorial again but it is just one match

Update process from GOG stuck with high memory usage

Hey there! When trying to update Cyberpunk 2077 to the latest patch, the download will work for a few seconds (I can notice download speeds of around 100-110Mb/s on my system monitor), then completely stop. If I wait enough time in this state, I can see a process called gogdl completely fill the 64G of RAM of my machine over the course of the next 30-45 minutes. Cancelling the update or closing Heroic does not closes down those processes, which will continue filling my RAM. If I let the update run long enough, the OOM killer will just completely kill the process and make Heroic freeze in the process. ...

Star Trek Armada 2 (no widescreen)

Hello together, first of All i want to greet the Community and hope for your Support. I am a steam deck User and i installed the heroic launcher and the game Star trek armada 2. I am not able to switch to a Resolution with no black side Stripes / bars (?). The in game settings has no much Options and i found a widescreen patch on github, where you have to copy paste the files into the game directory. But it seems that it does not work, (the asi does not to work under linux or else, i dont know) the selection in the in game menu doesnt change. So have you any idea's, how can i change the Window, that i am able to play on full screen (16:10). Maybe it could work for other games too... Thank you very much CiKo...

Achievements for Silksong linux native version from GOG do not work

Hello, I have been trying to get achievements to work for Silksong with no luck. I bought the game from GOG and installed the Linux version on HGL. The game runs perfectly and I haven't encountered any problems in game. My only problem is that the achievements I earn in-game do not get uploaded to my GOG profile. I tested other games (Stellaris to be specific) and my achievements were uploaded to my GOG profile immediately. I checked the comet.log and found that it fails with

Solution:

if the native game supports any of that it's an exception not something you should expect

Divinity: Original Sin 2 doesn't launch

It says Launching, then Playing (without having opened a window) and then stops playing. Maybe it's more accurate to say it crashes without launching?

Download speed stuck at 0.5MB/s most of the time

Hi, I noticed that my download and disk speeds are almost always stuck at 0.5MB/s, with some spikes here and there that often even ecceed what speed my provider actually provides me (i.e. i have a 30Mbps connection, so roughly 2.5MBps download speed, and in those spikes it sometimes shows up to 15MBps). Is it normal? I'm on Arch and using the AUR build script for the stable version, but the same happens on all versions (git, bin), flatpak excluded since i don't use them....

Games won't launch properly, just fails and displays play button again. (NixOS version)

Heroic seems to be running perfectly fine, i can install and uninstall games, add to steam, and log in and out of accounts. But whenver i try to actually start a game the button just briefly changes to (loading) before going back to Launch. I don't get any error messages when trying to launch a game, but I do get this message sometimes during installation...

EA Game bought on Epic Games does not run

This is a Heroic/EA issue, not a game issue as the game doesn't even start. I'm running Bazzite on a desktop PC so I believe Heroic was installed by default. I purchased Need for Speed Rivals and Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012) through the Epic Games store, but as both are an EA game, they require the EA App. This is pointed out here https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/How-to-install-EA-Games-on-Linux#ea-games-through-epic-games, but it does not launch the EA App, so here are the logs when launching NFS Rivals https://0x0.st/Kcok.log. I assume the flow would open the EA App for me to then install the game, then it'll launch the game through the EA App. Then I tried to install the EA App, install the game, and add it to Heroic (trying all possibilities) as per https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/How-to-install-EA-Games-on-Linux#ea-games-through-the-ea-application, which does install the EA App and the games, but it refuses to launch from the EA App or within Heroic, likely due to EpicGames not running within the Wine prefix to say "you own this game" (which is semi-solved next)....

Old Dosbox Game, Sound but no Music

Successfully installed Quest for Glory from Gog, and it runs as expected except there's no music so it's eerily quiet 🫠 The sound effects work in game, so it's not all sound. It's not the end of the world, but it's a little too quiet. I've read the FAQs, and it's obviously not one of the modern games. I've run the command flatpak update && flatpak install --reinstall com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl, restarted heroic and with the same results. Proton is at latest. Quick glance through logs and it might be something about not finding the midi driver? 🤷‍♂️...

Tried adding windows saves to Lego Star Wars

So, I had backed up my save from windows, and I tried adding it to my heroic version by finding an adjascent file in the same folder, so I can just copy over the saves. Now it isn't running, any help would be appreciated. https://0x0.st/KcsC.log...

Solution:

Nevermind, I got it fixed. The issue was that, I replaced files on linux with files from windows, and the solution was deleting them and forcing an update.
