Cant use the Nvidia GPU

I have a laptop, with a integrated GPU (intel UHD) and the nvidia gtx 1650 I play genshin, but it keeps using the intel GPU instead of the nividia one, i tried to change some options in the launcher like adding some arguments to force nvidia gpu but ig it didnt go well or i did it wrong coz the game didnt open after that, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS...

Can't Use Controller with LEGO® Star Wars - The Complete Saga

So I'm trying to run LEGO® Star Wars - The Complete Saga on my Steam Deck because I haven't played it in awhile. Heroic is working fine, but the game either doesn't recognize my controller or doesn't launch at all with the wrong Proton version. I originally installed it from the "Discover" store on my Deck at some point. The game worked perfectly fine for me a few months ago, but I've been wanting to resume the game lately, so I tried launching it from Game Mode like usual, but it wouldn't recognize my controller. I first tried uninstalling the game, downgrading Heroic based on a GitHub post I came across, and reinstalling the game, but that didn't work. The instructions in the "Read Me First" aren't working, but here is the log file, as requested. If I missed something, please let me know so I can provide it....

Melody of Memory, Steam deck Gamemode Black screen

Hi Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory worked before in Gamemode, it still works fine in Desktop mode, but for some reason it stopped working in Game mode I tried switching proton versions and installing the Gamescope flatpak, and disabling and re-enabling umu Edit: tried disabling the use gamescope setting and did the verify and repair...

Solution:

Okay Tried enabling steam runtime earlier, no change Switched to proton-GE 9.2.0 and now controller and graphics both work again...

Problems launching F.E.A.R.

Hi folks, recently made the jump from windows to Linux and managed to get some games running, however F.E.A.R. still gives me some troubles. Version is from GOG, Platinum edition, first I thought it was the install folder name, changed that, got a different error, then read up on different proton/wine versions, tried that, get different errors under that too. I am not getting too much out of the error log. seems to me it does not recognize the game, starts some stuff then there is a wine registry error (not sure where that comes from or how I can fix that) 0090:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed. Anyone any ideas? Cause I am out of em after trying different wine versions, starting the game with launch option PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% as suggested in protondb, but still no luck. screenshots of log attached. Anyone that has any pointers for a linux/proton noob? ...

the install size is 40 gb but on epic is 4 gb this is because heroic is installing all language versions

Cyberpunk 2077 SteamDeck failing to launch (NoneType error)

Hi. I am running into issues recently after reinstalling Cyberpunk 2077 after reinstalling to include DLCs. Before reinstalling, the game launched and worked without issues, but after reinstalling (prefix files and things like that not removed) the game will not launch. I tried launching using different Proton version, verifying and repairing, but no luck. Uploading the verbose log from settings below....

Solution:

So, it seems I can launch the game by using "Run Exe on Prefix" located at Heroic -> Cyberpunk 2077 Settings -> Wine -> bin/x86_64/Cyberpunk2077.exe Since that worked, I thought I could then set the "Alternative EXE to run" and point it to the game executable, but that didn't work. So, it does work if I select the executable through that setting. Just unsure why it doesn't work the regular way as it has for other games....

Uninstalling a game does not work

I tried uninstalling a game from amazon prime but whenever i click uninstall it says "uninstalling" for a few seconds and then "game not available". I tried enabling verbose logs but it keeps disabling them automatically when I click "uninstall".

Got logged out of all stores, can't log back in to Epic

After updating to newest build (2.18.1) I got logged out of all stores (Epic. GOG, Amazon). I was able to log back in to GOG and Amazon but Epic keeps asking me to verify I'm human and gets stuck in an endless loop (it goes through, like, 50 session IDs then goes back to the "Verify" screen). I've applied any updates to my OS (Linux Mint 21.3), I downgraded Heroic twice to 2.17.2 and the issues still persists. Also tried the alternative Epic login but still same result.

Black bars on the top and bottom of the screen
