Locked chest issue

3 people and I are in the minecraft server sharing a claim, but any time we put down a chest, the others can't access it. Please help!

Crash when entering servers

When I try and enter the DH server my game crashes with the following error:

Is this from DH? I have some other mods installed like sodium and iris, not sure it it is realted to those mods....

Server side performance for medium smp servers?

My players have been asking about adding dh to the server since 2.3 supports Lod sync. As the admin and the server being small-medium size normally 20-40 players and high amounts of chunk rendering with elytra. Is the lod calculated for all players or just players with dh and if so how significant is the impact on server resources. Its stated it uses 5mbit on the faq but is there other considerations?

Distant Horizons on Kinetic Server Hosting is Renaming Itself

Every time I launch the server, it renames the file to DistantHorizons-fabric-forge-2.3.0-b-1.20.1.jar.client, which effectively disables my server from recognizing that it's a mod. Is there a server version somewhere that I'm not finding? I know it's not working as intended because it's not generating a config file anywhere, not in serverconfig or config...

caused by that mod that checks for mods that the server doesnt need

Help w/ Distant Horizons (Getting it to Work)

hello! i am trying to add Distant Horizons to a modpack; however, it doesn't seem to be working (even without shaders). server side and client side, using beta, not rendering beyond normal MC

Im getting a odd bug after adding the Beta to the server, aswell as the client where i get a dark border along the edge of normal minecraft rendering. and i have no idea what to do xD

Found ghost/duplicate trees

I was playing around with the new update to distant horizons and saw that as i back away, trees render above the real ones. Is this normal cause it's beta or actually a bug? (put it in the help me channel because idk if it's a bug)

whats the recommended ammount of threads/cores and memory for DH itself?

i host a server that has 5-10 people on (around 5 every day) and i saw that DH supports being ran on a server now, and I decided to install it on my server since basically everyone who plays uses distant horizons, and we all share the same issue of not having the world filled out however when i installed it today, 6 hours later when activity started to build up near 4 pm, someone complained that the tps was getting worse than normal, and my pterodactyl panel showed the server maxxing out all of the ram and threads/cores, which I only asusme was DH i checked the config file, but found the default threads ammount to be 10, and im not sure if this is the reccomended ammount of threads/cores or not, and im not sure what the memory should be i have plenty of RAM and CPU's on my hypervisor (2x 2669v4's with 88 cores and 512 gb of ram) for me to allocate to the VM, but what would generally be a good ammount to give DH? i need to leave some room for the actual server itself...

Does DH pregen actually generate chunks, or only LODS when installed on a server?

I couldn't find the answer to this. Does DH generate actual chunks (and thus increasing world size / saving it to the region files), or does it only generate LODs which it stores in its own database when using pregen on a server?...

Hello i disable in config distant_generation_enabled but in console it says [DHS] Generation in progress: 10 processed, 0 in queue, 0.17 per second. So did i disabled it? And...

Constant OpenGL debug message logspam when rendering world

[Render thread/INFO]: OpenGL debug message: id=1282, source=API, type=ERROR, severity=HIGH, message='GL_INVALID_OPERATION error generated. Texture name does not refer to a texture object generated by OpenGL.' On the latest Beta version of DH (2.3.0-b), the above message is logged about 100 times per second as soon as I load into a world. I have disabled all mods except DH and updated Nvidia drivers (RTX 2080 Super) to the latest but this is still happening. I'm on Windows 11 23H2, using Minecraft 1.20.1 and Fabric Loader 0.16.10 through Prism Launcher. Anyone else seeing something like this or know how to fix/suppress it? It's going to waste a lot of disk space if I play with this happening....

"Show Generation Progress" Doesn't Show Generation Progress In Chat Or Overlay

In the DH config menu -> World Generator, there's an option "Show Generation Progress" which allows you to choose Overlay, Chat, or Log. Overlay and Chat don't do anything - are there other settings I need to change in order to see generation progress updates? World gen progress DOES show up correctly when set to "Log," but I'd rather have it visible in-game....

Going to → Distant Horizons config → Advanced options → Debug → Open GL...

1.21.4 server uses more Threads than specified in the config.

I've set it to 6/6 before, started a pregen, tried and noticed that i got timed out repeatedly of the server, while the graph on modrinth's webui showed less than 15% CPU load. Decided it's not worth it, lowered to 3/6 threads, but it seems like DH is still starting up up to 6.

Server low cpu usage with PAID FOR WHOLE CPU preset

Hi, I have set my server to use the PAID FOR WHOLE CPU preset for initial pregen but it only uses ~4cpu. Is there a custom preset i have to make to get this to work? CPU has 20 threads so it should be fine from my understanding. cpu is 13500 64gb ram, 32 dedicated to server ...

Changing where Server-side LODs are stored on new DH Beta.

Hi, I've recently installed the new Distant Horizons (2.3) update on my multiplayer server. I've looked through the FAQs and configs but can't find a way of changing where the LODs are stored. I know that it's stored in the world file, but I'd rather move the LOD large file to a slower, larger drive. This is on a Linux server if that's important.

DH for 1.21 does not start on 1.21

While i tried to launch minecraft (even without any other mods with the exception of fabric api and sodium) with new 2.3 version (from modrinth page), I am notified that its version is not suitable.
