how do i downgrade distant horizons?

got it for 1.20.4, came back for a 2 week phase and all of a sudden iris isnt compatible with it (needed 1.7.4 and up) but it was in july. iris isnt making updates for 1.20.4 anymore (latest compatible for this version is 1.7.2) so i think my only option would be to downgrade distant horizons but ive tried both versions which are on the modrinth page and neither have worked. where would i find it? and by it i mean the other versions...

Performance plummets (Intel TGL GT2, Mesa 24.3.4)

On the latest nightly (a36cd076) Vanilla render distance is 6, LOD render distance is 32, quality preset is minimum and CPU load is minimal impact. LODs are being generated and sent by a dedicated server. I'm using DH on top of Additive. Should the frametimes be affected this much?...

These ground to ceiling shadows always appear just outside of my vanilla render distance.

When I increase my render distance, the issue still stands, only farther away. I'm sure it's DH. Issue occurs with and without shaders. I have 32 gigs of allocated RAM, using Indium, and Sodium. (Modrinth app.) Singleplayer, 1.21.x...
Solution:
Increase the vertical quality (or the whole preset) and/or decrease the cave culling height to the ground level or below

Compatibility with WWOO?

Hii, Good People. 1.20.1 Fabric What bulid of DH should I use for best compatibility with WWOO + Terralith and C2ME. What should i edit for this compatibility? ...
Solution:
WWOO should work fine, except that some LOD terrain will have stripes on it, in a grid. If you can look past that, WWOO should work fine with DH. For the best compatibility with C2ME, use the nightly build from #links-n-downloads

pre loaded chunks don't show up

i use chunky and loaded a radius of 7500 from where i was standing but it only shows up in one direction and not the other

Overload Message

The "distant horizons overloaded" message as shown in the picture keeps popping up when I turn off everything in DH. I do have the CPU load set to the minimal impact preset, however rendering and distant generation are turned off. I figured that with everything disabled there wouldnt be any popups, yet there are. I even went into the "logging" category under advanced options and disabled everything, but still no luck. Does anyone know how to disable it? I want to be able to turn off DH if needed...

Visual Glitching on 1.20.1 Latest Nightly Build

For some reason, one of my players is experiencing this issue with no ability to remedy it. The visual glitching of the skybox when using any shader. When checking F3 it appears that DH is refusing to load or crashing. Usually if it happens to any of the rest of us, we just shrink/maximize, restart shaders, or restart DH rendering. Either of those always fixes it for everyone, except for this one specific player. They don't have a weak system either. I'm not sure what else we could have them do to get DH to reload and work?...

Read everywhere can’t seem to find it

Looking for support on shaders for dh in mc 1.19.2. Ik certain shaders work (photon bsl bliss) correct me if wrong. I’ve been informed only certain dh versions them selfs work with shaders and oculus, can anyone help me get dh shader and oculus to work on 1.19.2 thank you

/dh pregen gets stuck

Running /dh pregen start (with all the parameters, let's say 96 chunk radius from 0 0 in the overworld) on a server starts and provides a message the task will be finished in 5 minutes. After about 30 seconds it reaches something like 13.4 chunks finished and doesn't keep running. No error messages in server console, just running /dh pregen status shows the exact same status message every time. Some worldgen mods installed (Tectonic, BOP, OTBWG, WWEE, Continents, loads of structures), I expect it will slow down generation of course. But the pregen status command gets stuck on something like "4 minutes remaining" for 20 minutes with no change Can provide screenshots and logs tomorrow if needed, though I am not seeing any meaningful error messages in server console when it happens....

Crash on Create world / java.sql.SQLException

I attempt to run stable DH 2.2.1 / MC 1.21.1 for several days with basic Launchers: Vanilla, Fabric, Neoforge and different mod combinations but without any success. I also tried recommended DH mod pack presets for Modrinth, but that also failed. Solutions from ⁠#faq-problems-and-fixes didn't work for me as well. My problem is actually same as described here in another post "Instant crash when attempting to load a world": crash on world create with 0% message and "Errot Code -1" ...

Not convert loaded chunks to LODs on client when server-side generation is available

I'm trying to use DH with big globe and vertigo on a server. Currently, areas that have been loaded as real chunks on the client sometimes end up looking broken in distant terrain afterwards. I suspect that this is due to DH trying to build lods locally even though the server provides them, and due to vertigo not syncing full chunks, this then causes incomplete LODs. I haven't found a way to disable client-side LOD generation, and I'm not sure if this is actually the issue, so I'm posting here t...

CPU usage

Other than generating the terrain and LODs and usual minecraft CPU usage, how does CPU dictates the performance of minecraft with DH? For example, assuming every chunk in queue is done loading, what aspects are CPU bottlenecked? Or am I right in assuming its more of a GPU bottleneck at that point?...

There isn't a version of indium up to date

I'm using a modpack for 1.21.4. I downloaded the nightly build for DH (1.21.4) and got the error message to download indium. So I downloaded the latest version which is 1.21.1. This failed and gave me an version error from lunar. I am asking if there is an alternative for this specific version of DH. Thank you so much for your help. The mods installed in the lunar client launcher are in the image. I am sorry if I am missing some details. I am new to this. ❤️

How to decrease fog distance as height increases

Hello. I've been playing around with the settings but I'm having trouble figuring this out. The mod is working great. I'm using JJThunder so when I get really high up (in the thousands range for height), the limit of whats been rendered becomes very visible. I'd like to have the world fog get closer to me as I increase in height, sort of simulating thicker clouds or whatever. I'm not seeing very noticeable changes as I change the settings though. I'm not sure if vanilla fog needs to be enabled o...

Nothing's happening.

I have everything downloaded properly (curseforge) and on the surface everything seems fine, the settings work fine. It's just simply that uh, nothings happening. Everything renders as vanilla (I have the LODs on 1000 if you think its not high enough), regular fog, regular chunk deletion, everything is normal. I just want the slightest help from anybody on what I could do. I am happy to screen share my problem to anyone willing to help. I am so over following every tutorial to the letter and get...
