No temperature control soldering iron

Is it possible to solder the nice nano with a soldering iron that goes up to 470°c and a little vaseline without damaging the components?

Can't get the github template to run a build

I followed the guide to make my own template from typeractives github page, but nothing i do will get it to build. i made sure my pat token is authorised to trigger workflow actions, tried in on the default repo with no changes, and even tried manually triggering it directly from github, but nothing happens

nice!view Not Working With New Firmware

Hello! I just built my Corne 5 column and the screens worked with the default firmware from the guide, but I made a new firmware from the repository from the guide (just changing some keybinds) and now the screens only display a few black pixels. Everything else works (typing on it now), it is just the screens that are messed up. How do I get the screens back online without just using the default? I’m totally new to this and it is very possible I just did something wrong, but I have no idea w...

Lily58 not sending input to paired phone

I've read through the full setup and troubleshooting guide but nothing has helped. i've soldered everything, used the default firmware, and progressed without issue, right up to pairing the left side with my phone. It pairs without a problem, but it just will NOT send any text to my phone despite the bluetooth menu recognising the keyboard as an input device. Has anyone encountered this before? When i plug it into my pc, it inputs text, so i know the keymapping works. When i turn it on by the switch, the pairing happens successfully, but it's STILL sending text to the wired pc instead of bluetooth phone. ...

Extreme difficulty inserting Kailh Low Profile Choc Switches into plate and PCB.

Hello, I am having an extremely difficult time trying to insert the Kailh Low Profile Choc Switches into the plate and PCB. Coincidentally, this is the part of the build guide lacking a video. The switches require an incredibly large amount of force to insert, and as I understand it the goal is to have them pushed in so that the white clips lock on the other side. It took over an hour to get them inserted into one plate (recommended to do the plate then the PCB on the guide), after which I tried putting it into the PCB. I was not successful....

Corne with premium case: bottom row on the left split stopped working

Hi, I've recently bought a full corne kit (pcbs, nanos, views, premium case). It's been working great until this afternoon, when the left hand bottom row stopped responding. I've done full reset procedure, and reflashed firmware but ther result was the same. I've had a couple of nanos in different keyboards so I salvaged one, again full reset, full reflash firmware, and it worked fine. I think one of my nanos is toast....

3 controllers

tried using the search feature before making this post, looking for the resources to get three nice nano's working together. one to be plugged in and the other two wireless. so using one as a dongle

Anyone have any idea why my corne keys are wrong?

I may have done something stupid in editing the configs. I took a 6 col corne and just deleted the end rows columns. Here's my repo: https://github.com/evanlamoureux/archmage-zmk-config...

Outermost column of the right half of my Lily58 PCB (MX) stopped working.

Got them about a month ago with the EZ soldering kit and everything was fully functional after assembly until yesterday. Here are the following things I've tried to no avail: 1) Reflashing/resetting the affected PCB 2) Swapping out switches to make sure dead switches weren't the culprit 3) Reflowing solder to all diodes in the affected area, including the neighboring column...

male JST connector

What male JST connector is the correct size to fit into the JST socket on the Corne (choc) wireless board?

Pin 24 on NiceNano stopped working

I noticed my row 1 (ARSTG) stopped working all of a sudden at first I thought it was my pcb board. Since I had a spare corne board i moved the controller to and it was the same behavior. I tested continuity and pin 24 checks out using the ez-solder pins

batteries for australia

I have purchased a corne wireless 5 column choc with the nice!nano v2s, views, and non solder headers. My question is will the 351230 battery fit underneath or should I stick to the 301230 battery?

Lily 58 Pro RGUI not working

Currently the RGUI key is not working. Have replaced the switch with a known working switch, put extra solder on the diode and switch. Diode is on the correct direction, diode plastic doesn't seem cracked

Left side stopped working after flashing

I just flashed some new firmware to my typeractive corne (I've done so many times!) but my left (primary) half is now in a seemingly broken state. I can't get it to output any characters, either over USB or trying to switch to a previously-paired BT device. The nice!view displays an image, but it appears to be rendering once based on its boot state and not updating — if I insert or remove a USB-C cable, the charging status icon doesn't update, and similarly pressing a key that toggles a layer change doesn't update the layer name. The right half's display indicates it's not able to find a BT connection to the left half, assuming the right half is otherwise working properly. It appears I can successfully get the device to re-enter boot mode, and if I try to re-flashing a previous known good firmware it acts the same as a successful flash (i.e. an OS filesystem error and the USB mass storage device disconnects), but completing that does not change the behavior....

key clearance issues

I’m having trouble with the three topmost keys on each side and the innermost thumb keys on each side rubbing against the side of the case. Is the area around the right corner in the picture supposed to be bent as such?

ZMK for Multiple Keyboards

Hi, At the risk of sounding dumb, how would one go about setting up a repo for both a lily58 and a corne? Is this done with separate repos? Do I use the same repo and add some stuff to it?...

Wireless Corne Row and Screen Issues

Hello, I finished building a wireless Corne using the kit and following the provided docs. I'm running into a few issues that I can't figure out. 1. On the left half, the bottom row doesn't work. I looked at the associated pin (P0.11) which did seem to be soldered badly so I fixed it but the bottom row still doesn't work. Both sides seem to be soldered pretty well. I also checked for solder jumps to nearby pins using a multimeter but there aren't any. I don't know if I can check whether that particular pin is defective or something. 2. Both of the nice!views don't work properly. The right hand side is either always just random dots or blank. And the left hand side is mostly blank or random dots or occasionally it'll look mostly normal with numbers and the word "Base" and a battery display, but it will still have random dots on screen or a few columns will just be random dots. I've tried on both the provided firmware as well as custom firmware so I don't think it's that....

NiceNano pin 002 not working

Hey, i am trying to fix my problem with the corne and nice nano for the last 5h and now want to know if someone knows of something else I can try.The situation is, I bought a corn kit with nicenano for my first ergo keyboard. After Assembly on one of the halves, one column did not work. It is the column for the pin 002, I switched the PCBs and identified the problem is the nicenano. I bought a new nicenano resoldered it and again the column of the pin 002 does not work. I switched the boards again and think it is again the nanos fault. Furthermore, I checked all pins for continuity and shorts and could not identify any problem. I have now 1 nano which work eon both PCBs and 2 nanos where the same column dose not work .I always check with usb c directly to the pc, i did not set Bluetooth up. Why should be the same pin be broken on 2 boards, is it a common problem? Could be anything else be the problem? The pictures are from one of the not functioning nanos, can you spot anything wrong?...
