Unable to pull more than 250 assets though Immich API

Hi, Forgive me as I'm not a programmer but know enough for how to get in trouble lol. I'm trying to use Google Gemini to create a python GUI script that analyzes images from my Immich server. It then saves the metadata from the images (portrait or landscape) to a file and is supposed to set a randomly selected image as the wallpaper in Windows 11 every x amount of minutes. The issue I'm running into is that it's only able to pull the first 250 assets and then keeps repeating that list of assets and not adding more. I'm on the latest version of Immich (v1.143.1) and the API key being used as all available permissions. And yes, I have more than 250 images available on Immich 😁. Below is what Google Gemini is telling the issue is. Attached is the python code I'm using/running. I don't know if this matters, but I have Immich running on a Debian 12 (bookworm) server running in docker, obviously. I'm happy to share any other information on my Immich server setup if this is not a bug in Immich to help fix this.

How can I see recently added assets for an external library?

I only use external libraries. Often I upload photos to my NAS that were taken some time ago (not new) but I’d like to find these items on the web (primarily) and the app (secondary). Can there be a simple “Recently added” that might sit along side “Recently taken” in the search pane? Say added to Immich in the last 30 days? I can then adjust date, geocode, description and add to albums without having to hunt them down in the timeline. ...

UnRaid - How to get rid of frequent timeouts

I recently switched over from the AIO to the compose stack and now I frequently have timeouts of 48s. I am running immich on unraid, the database is stored on a ssd. I noticed that the load times are rather slow, but I have no idea what might be the cause. I also tried using a cloudflare tunnel to see if that makes a difference, but it stayed the same Is there anything I can change to get rid of the timeouts?...

No such file or directory when generating missing thumbnails

Best way to transfer to new phone with iOS backup?

hi all, I have been using immich to back up my iOS photo library to my local storage. All assets came from the iOS app backup—was a lengthy initial sync. I recently got a new phone and restored from an icloud backup. Immich stayed logged in and I was hopeful things would just keep working, but nothing new is being synced. When I try turning an album on to backup, it looks like it is starting to sync the entire library from scratch again. Is that necessary? Thanks in advance....

Permission denied to upload with Docker Swarm and NFS

I recently got a new minipc and am in the process of trying (and failing) to migrate services to it. The problem is that I want storage to be on the nas machine (running truenas) still and that opened up a can of worms I was not ready for 😅 I decided to try using Docker Swarm because I need a few other services to run directly on the nas, while being accessible through the traefik instance on the minipc and this seemed like a sensible way to do that. For storage, I'm creating NFS shares on the truenas machine and then mounting them using docker as volumes. Something somewhere is wrong I honestly have no idea what's happing, but I'm getting this error...

Android app doesnt upload when Wi-Fi doesnt have access to the internet.

I noticed, when my phone is connected to the same network that my Immich server is on, but the network doesnt have access to the internet, the Immich app doesnt upload the photos (Even though the application is correctly configured to use local IP when on my home wifi) Is this a bug or is it some security thing?...

Immich /mnt/mnt/ issue. Data lost?

Dear community, I am a complete newbie to all of this. I used ChatGPT to migrate my data to the new folder structure and things have gone dark. I am now left with what you see in the screenshot. I have removed Immich for the time being to fix this but I am completely stuck. I tried SMB to access my data so that I can manually download them to my PC but I can no longer access my media via SMB or Immich (which is why I uninstalled temporarily). Any assistance will be greatly appreciated because I have a lot of memories backed up on Immich. Please let me know if I can provide any information that can help with solving my predicament. OS: TrueNAS Scale 25.04.2.4...

Image rotation and colour editing

Hello all, I've just started experimenting with Immich as a solution for a shared 'archive' of family photos which my mum has been dutifully scanning from our childhood and her life with my dad prior to his death. I'm really impressed with the polish and the attention to detail, as well as the performance of this app, even just being run on my Synology 923+ (granted, I have lots of RAM which helps!). Some of the scans require rotational correction (as is to be expected with several thousand photos being processed); or need image rotation adjustment, cropping, etc. Just wondering if this type of function is what is meant in the roadmap by 'basic image editing' or are there already some of these functions in the app. There also doesn't seem to be any way to make image colour corrections to account for old prints and so on. I can't seem to find anything that looks useful for this in the current UI but when you're learning something new you can always miss things. If it's the case that these adjustments will need to be made in alternate software, does anyone have any suggestions for making the process as easy as possible - a workflow where an image can be edited externally without needing to be re-uploaded or replaced in Immich is something I'm imagining, but of course these things are a work in progress....

Mobile app has stopped showing images

Opened the mobile app today and there were no images. Checked on both an android and ipad, neither have images. Web app still works perfectly fine though.

IMMICH app freezing on iphone.

I recently updated my server. I am running 1.143.1. I have multiple instances of Immich. My samsung galaxy 9 works and is accessing my personal account. My ipad works. I cannot get my iphone to work. Both the ipad and the iphone try to access my work account. I have tried multiple times to uninstall the iphone immich and re-install, but I keep getting the same thing. It opens and then freezes. I can click buttons before it freezes. But it will freeze in about 5 seconds no matter what I do. After this point the app is not responsive whatsoever. The app on this phone was working fine at one point and both the ipad and the iphone were not an issue sharing the same work account. Please help me!!! Casey...

After updating to v1.143.1, immich_server docker container does not successfully start

After running <docker compose pull && docker compose up -d> and then running <docker stats> to watch, immich_server starts, its CPU usage increases to above 200%, and then it disappears from the list of running containers. This repeats a few times, then immich_server stays on the list, but uses 0% CPU, 0B/0B of memory, 0/0 net I/O, etc. and the web interface cannot connect to the local port.

(Weird Bug) Job Handler stuck and instead increases the counter for every click to run a job.

The problems began following a recent update (around v1.42.0). Background: The first issue arose after uploading new 4K HDR (HEVC 10-bit BT.2020) videos from a Pixel 8 Pro, which are significantly more VRAM-intensive to decode than my previous SDR content. When the system ran the default 8 concurrent transcodes (the driver limit), the GPU rapidly ran out of memory, generating continuous CUDA_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY errors. Then the transcoded videos that failed had corrupted metadata, resulting in "borked" aspect ratios (near 1:1) and incorrect playback speeds (200% speed on mobile). ...

Help with 1.133.0 update on Big Bear.

I know big bear and casa os are not officially supported but could someone plz help me make sense of something? My Immich Server was parked on 1.121 or 1.122 for a year or so and yesterday i finally updated to 1.43.1 and now Immich is not working anymore. I went to git hub to check the old breaking updates i skipped and set configs and my layman knowledge cant make sense of these instructions... can someone "translante" this for me. Are the green ones things to be added in the compose.yml and red ones to be removed? or should i leave red untouched?...
