Phey m8, I can only speak for the Huey & Ka 50 bs2 I have the bs3 but not had time ti do my bindings etc. yet. With the VPforce DCS Telemetry App running in the Huey I get effects for most of the flight, etl etc. but the biggest game changer for me when it comes to the RHINO & flying Heli's is the force trim, that has been huge to me, it's made things feel so much better especially for hovering stationary, well somewhat stationary

The Ka 50 has been just as improved by the RHINO though I haven't flown it yet with the Telem app too, on the Telem app it's great, it adds effects without over riding any default effects from the module itself. I've been intending on testing the free Blackhawk mod with the RHINO & telemetry app I've flown it before owning the Rhino but not since, also for mods like this if they don't support ffb or force trim natively the VPforce telem app should take over completely & you can use the VPforce config app to bind force trim buttons to your stick also. I'm planning on testing this out today. As for your question as to what dcs heli is best supported, I think the Vpforce Telemetry App will make them all great with the Rhino so mainly look for the best flight model. Also that blackhawk is really good.

LWhat's A (mm)? Rebuilding my pit in preparation and the front panel is probably too close because maximum throw is 22° (that's not in FAQ yet btw)

WYeah no problem in using it rotated. Yeah, it's also possible to devise a 3d printable hardware throw limiter. I'll do some prototypes soon.

AI mounted the rhino backwards and i'm a model citizen, so there should be no issues

I currently have a 24V, 10A Power Supply for the 57BLF03 motors. Do you think it would make sense to upgrade to something like 20A? Or is there some sort of Limit on how much the Motors can take?

DA version with less angle could use a bigger wheel to get more power?
APossibly yes, but it would also probably need to be bigger, because the current wheels are pretty much as big as you can fit

Ahowever, I don't know if the size of the wheels has anything to do with throw, since the motors can do several (unlimited?) rotations

Dyes that's two independent thing, but i was thinking of it to compensate the extension that would be use with a short angle verison
MPlanes with long shafts don’t use high displacement irl, usually more like +-15 to 17deg.. long throws are not needed with long levers plus they interfere with cockpit ergonomics as you are discovering
M24v is marginal for the drive, though your psu is plenty powerful
J@walmis Is it possible to limit throw length thru the software? Or could it be added? The Hornet only has 2.5 inches of forward throw and 5" to the rear on an arm of 18.58" to the reference point on the grip.
Sthis might have been asked already, but to the rhino and rhino kit owners, do you see much of a benefit using an extension, or without on this base?
PI can only answer for using an extension. The RHINO has a huge throw on it even without the extension, depending on how you sit in relation to the base the forward throw can be almost too much with the extension (200mm Curved VKB). Software Endstops are great for this though, but a series of physical plates with the different end stops would be even better for that definite clunk when hitting axis end, even just one plate that reduces the forward throw a bit would be good. Tbh I'd rather have the extra throw to play with & use end stops, Walmis is still working on implementing the software end stops even better. Having said all this I do believe the RHINO has enough throw on it you don't have to have an extension if you need to mount it higher & one won't fit, I mean compared to a normal joystick without extension the RHINO's throw is huge & comparing the RHINO with an extension to a VKB/style base with one, it's still a fair bit bigger.
CYou can limit the throw and it will auto adjust the axis. Even a non linear throw. I have mine set to 50% less forward and about 20% less side to side throw. Walmis is a very talented man!
RMatching the throw from the Rhino with the throw from the in game aircraft so its 1:1 and realistic. I only fly helicopters, so this will be important, especially concerning trim.

Pgo into the effects tab, look for the End Stops box, you can change the settings there & tick the box that says 'Rescale Axis'
Pthe % in there you change is the % of total throw you want, so 10% is only going to give you 10% of total travel distance, 50% gives you half travel etc.
Pyou can set it so the + & - of the axis are asymmetric
R@stonedkakapo I went from VKB with 20cm extension, to Rhino without. Ballpark similar and never felt need to add extension with Rhino (flying a mix of helo's and planes from all gen's)
MI added the virpil extension
MIt just felt weird without one
MAnd I just limited the axis
Vreading that from a second person makes me very happy on not getting an extension
AThe Rhino basically comes with a built-in extension and the throw is huge so there's less need for extensions
Aif you add a vkb or ww adapter, it becomes even taller
JThe problem with an additional extension will also be that the force you feel at the stick will be smaller because you have a bigger lever with which you pull on the gimbal.
SWould it be that noticeable even with those big motors?
