Is it possible to mix in effects from the configuration software with existing ffb effects from say IL2?

WYup, you can mix in the settings for damper, inertia etc. into the game. Just set them in the configurator to your liking and they will be applied in game too.
ASo if you want to keep the game’s effects clean, you should do which one?
1) uncheck all the effects

)WSo in effects tab those are like augmented effects, that work if the game doesn't set them. And also additional stuff like endstops. In the settings tab, those sliders are global "volume" controls. So if the game has annoying rumble, etc, you can tune down those separately.
AIcic, so if IL2 sets friction, it would override mine? Or you fancy and mux?
WSo if you have damper at 100% in effects, and damper is 20% in settings, total damper output will be 20%

AI noticed be default, only spring was at 100%, probably best to have all those general sliders start at 100% right? And tune down if they feel wrong or off

WTry damper and inertia by increasing gradually, too much can cause instability or oscillations.
AI found friction at anything higher than 5-8% was causing oscillations

AOh one final question for now, after calibrating, and setting a spring, the joystick seems to return to center at 49% and 49%?
W49? The best place to check is the telemetry data in the left side of VP configurator, it should come close to 0 for x and y
WAlso don't do windows calibration, reset to default if you did. That will definitely cause some strange issues down the road.

PHey m8, I posted the Telem app screenshots for the Blackhawk their a few posts up, also the force trim wasn't working, I was using my vkb mgcu with the loopback app to bind the force trim buttons in the config app.
Fthanks for the details but that didn't do the trick. I still don't see anything in the feedback tab on the xpforce with Rhino selected. On VP force config everything looks good. I wonder if it's not a DirectX problem

DSaturation should reduce the axis range… but not sure if its the same in VPForce software

Athis is the saturation i am unclear on, since i can't seem to feel the effect difference, or if there is one, i can't tell what is different
Wsaturation limits max force with the same slope
Wsaturation at 0 is disabled, 100% means limit force value at 100% motor power, 50% limits the force at 50% motor power - etc.
WGenerally you don't need to touch it, unless you know what you're doing 
WI've also moved some settings to "advanced" in the development version, since some of the options add more confusion, than usefulness.

Fcoming back to the XPForce/FS2020 saga, 
it seems XPForce cannot connect to the Rhino. In the screenshot below the "Joystick Active" should be ticked and i should see the joystick movements...that seems to be locked out

PHmm that's strange, though it's been several weeks since I've flown in msfs2020 last time I did XPForce worked fine with the Rhino.
Fi tried Xplane 11 as well. plugin installed with no problems..same story..the XPForce doesn't connect to the Rhino. It seems to be something related to my system

FOk, Walmis helped me directly. I had the "Forced effect" flag on in VP configurator. This was overwriting the XP force effects.
FAlso I had the gains too low..now seems to work. I'll play a bit more with it
DHey guys, I am cautiously considering building a control loading system from the VP-Force kit. Does anyone know the resolution of the encoders on those motors? In my current design I will utilise roughly 200° on the motor shaft for a full stroke. On a ~4000cpr encoder that would leave me with little over 11Bit resolution. Are those motors availabe with higher resolution encoders?
