Umm so the buffet in the config file is the start of the ramp so I put that at like 11 (when the canopy starts shaking) And the stall is the end of the ramp (maybe like 16) And the buffet amount is how much you want to feel Which I put at .05 because it’s got hydraulic controls
I'll be starting the design work for my stick soon, as the lathe and mill should be operational in a few weeks. My first question is the reduction ratio of the pulleys, what is going to work best ?
After installing a throw limiter (10.5 y axis, 8.4 X axis) I was able to use force comp to resolve the Y axis (value 215) not reaching full but the X axis cant reach full deflection even with the max force comp of 255
The TelemFFB "database" seems to get bigger every day, which is nice. I tied the UH-1 / AH-64 which I think is nice. For me there is one question, is it possible to incorporate a base "shaking", like a background noice? Maybe that can be somehow got of the main rotor whirl as simshaker for aviators does?
Thanks. After installing the limiter and recalibrating, if you accidentally bump the stick while not holding it, it can enter a violent oscillation state. Do you have any recommended setting to eliminate that? I tried the damper slider on the settings page but it didn't seem to fix it. Only concerned because it might damage the base or grip as it's pretty violent.
You can try setting Spring Filter to 8-10Hz, damper filter to 5 Hz and increasing "Spring Strength proportional damping". I have defaulted to 70% currently.
While I can scale it down, doesn't it get overriden by the game unless it's made sticky? But if I made it sticky, then variable spring force from the game no longer works. It would be nice to have separate spring X Y gains on the settings tab.
I don't know how trim works in a real UH-60L but you can trim it just like a Huey with Walmis' hardware force trim even if the module author ignored FFB. Should work for any really? For ETL, just add a couple of lines to TelemFFB config.ini and you're set. Walmis made everything so easy for us
Am having an issue with the F-16 and want to see if anyone else is experiencing this: On the F-16, the pitch axis spring force feels much weaker than the roll axis. I don't experience that on any other module. Anyone else experiencing that?
I didn't even try the F16 with this. I usually use a side stick for it Its a FBW jet with a force sensor irl so dcs just makes something up in the absence of an expensive force sensing stick. Feel free to mess with the curves as much as you like, you're not going to get any approximation of realistic feel with our stick
The Authentickit Spitfire grip looks good 'n all, but one of those Yak/Lag grips would also do the spitfire but not the reverse. Oh they looked so dam good on the YT video too
yeah that's something that's kept it on the back burner for me, just need someone to make a TM adapted version then we'd be set, guess I could try frakenstine some Yak type controls onto the spitfire grip?
The Russian spade grip was something I always wanted to model but had a hard time finding dimensions/specs. I always marveled at how Replika did it. Maybe he was like the bf109 guy from the AK discord who has access to a 1:1 plane and was able to go sit in the cockpit to take dimensions.
