PI saw something playing there once but then I refreshed the page and it went away
SI was having the same issue. I set the secure connection as preferred and put my network subnet in auth exclusion list. It is working now.

The media server widget enables you to watch and view current active sessions over all your media servers.
MMake sure that all of those points do not apply.
Pif I set it to secure connections, I can't access the server using the lan IP only web, and if there's a problem with the web connection I have to stop the dock and manually edit the config file
PI went through that about 4 times last time I posted about this issue and was linked there

Palthough it shouldn't say anonymous user but I can live with that.
MSometimes, Plex doesn't expose any information about the user. So we just call them anonymous

Jellyfin's API is sooo much better. We'll add controls on the widget, which won't even work on Plex.

MProbably. You can try to investigate yourself, to check what's exactly changing on the API
PUnfortunately I started with plex years ago and got a lifetime pass and I'm just kinda invested in it too much to switch to something else ;-;
MWell, that's up to you. Everyone has their preferences. I like Jellyfin more, but it's understandable if you like Plex more
