I have two, both have been converted to have the CH Fighterstick Pro Grip/handle on them, one being a shaft extension version as well, no idea, I guess I will sell one of them, and keep one as a backup, the one pictured retains the twist rudder whilst the other version with the extended handle does not.
I might convert it (the old MSFFB2) to 3D printed grip like a B8 or Spitfire or KG12. I was wondering if I could convert it to pulleys/gears for my rudder. Thatβd be pretty cool
@CapnFlint I added the B8 grip from an old TM topgun stick, and a 500mm carbon fiber rod, since I added extra resistors. Would be a nice gift for someone as an intro to ffb!
Hey guys, just wondering if this kit can be used for something like a seat mover? In other words could you pull motion data from a sim and drive Surge, Sway and Yaw in a seat?
#faq #knowledge-base has the info you need. I think there is an open source thing on github that could be used to interface with that in such a capacity but it might require some additional code writing on your part
We're very early days software wise for Rhino related stuff. For example current iteration does not have rudder pedals yet afaik (referring to an answer from walmis in #support a day or 2 ago)
Sadly mine has had a small fault ever since new - #3 doesn't register every time unless you press it in a particular way, which I suppose you learn to do after a while of ownership
I have a feeling that this is one of those things that you have to be looking for to find out. At least when I'm in a slip trying to hit my aiming point, the particular feel of the rudder pedals is not high on my list of things to think about. Appreciate you flying and finding the answer. I'll be back in the 2-33 in a couple weeks and will take careful note as well.
This is my first attempt at a variation on the shaft winding photos posted. I need to find a better way to secure the slippery, synthetic, zero stretch fishing line or move to the steel braided cable I also have. Overall the mechanism seems to work as expected though. 13:1 gear ratio. No backlash. No need for an exact timing belt. Just a prototype but Iβm pleased so far.
You just fill out the Google form in the faq. You can then dm the bot a command for updates on where you are at in the queue, and it will also dm you when it's time to pay etc.
This image I found in your reviews section is perfect absoletely perfect. I don't have permissions to message in the reviews section plus the support section.
I still need to order some parts from MonsterTech so I can mount flight sim gear to my new cockpit. Won't be able to place an order until July, so probably August or later to first use my Rhino
man... I couldn't wait that long.. I'd be at the hardware store figuring out what I could glue/screw/weld together to get that puppy installed...
I didn't want to wait for how long it would take to get the laser cut / bent parts for the virpil desk mount adapter I designed, so I went to my garage and started cutting scrap wood
