in FFB plan I get a bigger amount of force (on regular mouvement without effect like just pulling the stick than on non FFB plane (for example in mirage 2000 I feel like the stick is far less strong than on F14)
LOL! I have been! I've been doing some re-binding, unfortunately. But I can say the warbird feel is incredible. The A10 I don't feel much but the feedback/resistence is real nice.
Ok got it all working, first time for me using FFB, the amount of imersion it offers is insane. Now I need to try TelemFFB. Its just running the exe along with dcs as mentioned above, also dont speak git In those releases is it just general effects for all planes, or are there specific ones already supported?
Yea! Another convert. Impossible to go back to even what we considered "high-end" before. Right now for DCS it would serve you well to understand how TelemFFB works and use it to tune to the plane you fly the most. For MSFS and XPlane there is XPForce which also allows you to tune all planes, but it's not that great... but it is cheap.
yeah, definitely have a look through the config.ini file. Most of the settings are pretty self explanatory and / or have a description which attempts to explain what they do.
Is it possible to change the natural centerposition? I’d like the stick just a little bit closer to me, basically just trimming it back an inch but have that set as mechanical Center.
you can adjust the center point by moving the max value lower (or min value higher, depending on the orientation of your Rhino).. but that will sacrafice range of motion in the direction you are adjusting. Alternatively, some (including myself) have made custom offset adapters to get the stick closer without having to move the base closer
It's strange that it clicks on both axises. I can safely rule out the motors, the pulley could slip, but in this case unlikely, since it usually occurs only on one axis. If you put back the large gears, hold each axis gear by hand and try to move the stick and try to get a feel for play/looseness.
There are a lot of options in the VPForce GUI, check it out. It's really helpful when dialing in an effect. You can have control of master for controlling everything and then specify the other pot just for the effect you are trying to perfect.
For the DIY crowd I personally wish for the second pot to be co-used as a limit switch so that when things like yokes need to calibrate you could do it automatically.
Are you sure the “clicking” is not actually a “creaking”. I get some creaking in the joint between the aluminum square tube and the printed grip/extension adapter. Hard to tell from the video but my video of my creaking sounds similar enough.
I get some creaking on mine too but it's not a real rhino...From your video it looks like the sound stopped when you took the top wood off? Is that true?
