Tyranny and gamescope not working well.
Hi!
This is driving me crazy so i finally thought i'd ask.
I'm playing tyranny, and i have a dual monitor setup.
I'd like to use gamescope with it as a wrapper so i can drag it to another monitor (for couch gaming), but it's just having the weirdest bugs. And dragging the "window" doesn't work without it.
-b -h 1440 -H 1440 -- produces this error:
Error launching game: Error: spawn gamemode ENOENT
at ChildProcess._handle.onexit (node:internal/child_process:283:19)
at onErrorNT (node:internal/child_process:476:16)
at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:82:21)
-f -h 1440 -- makes the game fullscreen but the mouse only moves in a smaller "square area" which - if it leaves, it goes to the second monitor
-b -h 1440 -- makes the game show up in a tiny borderless mode in the center of the screen with the "smaller square area" bug still present, the mouse escapes if going past those boundaries.
any "capital" -H -W or something like that argument, in any combination of resolutions makes the game either hang or give an error.
I use Arch with gnome. Heroic is installed from AUR.
Gamescope has been unusable with this game and my question is - can i do something about it? Is the game just like that? Or is it gamescope, heroic, something else?
Thanks for reading.
