Hey y'all... so I put together a draft PR in response to an "investigate" ticket...

I think the implementation is fine, though I'm personally on the fence about whether or not we actually want the change. I'm truly indifferent.

I'd love to get some feedback, a vote maybe, on this one.

Looks like for rawhide I have to install the rawhide repo into

/etc/yum.repos.d

/etc/yum.repos.d
