AI don't use curves on my stick so I didn't even realize such an option didn't exist, but isn't that kind of commonplace in all sorts of stick configurators?

SI normally use a curve of 10. I just tried setting curve to 0 and the weird recentering goes away. Enabling sticky on the spring allows me to use curves and get proper trim behavior
Nhonestly you don't lose much.. there isn't much in the way of stick forces for the Heli's in DCS outside of Trim FFB anyways
Njust have to remember to undo it if you are jumping in a fixed wing.. you might be able to use the
vpconf=<profile>.vpconf in the aircraft profile settings in TelemFFB.. I've seen the code, but I've never tested it (to load a vpconf profile when you load an aircraft)
TRhino + extension + decent grip + profile = good AH-64D in DCS. Will go post my profile now.
TI thought there was a profile channel, but cannot find it. Put this together with the help of a current US Army AH-64E pilot.
TIt is a VPC T-50CM2 grip with a 200mm extension - reduced the throw per his instructions with the end stops, and then maxed out the spring, again per his instructions, and all works fine and the force trim is transformational.

R@craptakularuk I did exactly that to start with, long monster desk mount, and it works.... sooort of. The long mount can certainly handle the Rhino, but I wouldn't call the margins comfortable exactly. There's a fair bit of flex going on, and I worry about the long term stress on the desk edge, unless your desk is solid and strong hard wood. I'm putting together a better (I think... hope) solution of my own, but it remains to be seen if it will be effective, and there are others here who have designed and 3D printed their own mounts to solve this problem. Worth a search! No S-curve extension for me, using Winwing Orion 2 and its 100-200mm adjustable straight extension and monstertech chair w/center cutout.
JOh man, that would be hot sh.. if telemetry would load the correct profile for the plane it sees. I got a bunch of different profiles and it would be great if it would load the right one on the fly. Have to look into that!!!
F@jehlybean Thanks for giving a hint about the z extension. Got mine today and this is perfect now. Works great with the warthog grip by rotating the extension connector.
LWalmis did give curves a try not so long ago. There is one fundamental problem to solve first: 📃general
LThis is also why DCS curves are broken when you use them with FFB.

FIt's also ridiculous how easy it is to compensate the offset weight with the software. You don't even know about the offset while using. I'm already a huge fanboy to the Rhino. This is an amazing product.

MYall, I bought the Brunner CLS-E Joystick and seems your product is way more Beefier than the Brunners. My Brunner shitdown the Force after full delction near the top end of the force after 2 or 3 circle fight. No good use for DCS. you produect seems way better for DCS applications.

i'll gladly wait. Bur cant wait...SI imported your conf file but there seems to be some incompatibilities. I am running the latest firmware for the Rhino and use a virpil constellation alpha. There is no twist axis or brake axis. Also the minijoystick does not register and neither does the scroll wheel. It looks like you are running an older firmware?
TQuite possibly as that was first profile. Will download new on and redo.

HRecntly updated the firmware and the configurator. Loaded last versions profiles. Now getting oscillating of the stick that increases more so then previous version it would stay under a certain low limit and be basically elliminated. Does anyone know hwo to reduce that in this vcersion if possible. I know earlier on it was doing it and then got fixed last version or 2.

JI was also wondering about this new effect. It seems like its a G effect or an AoA effect. When I stick back into a turn at high G and AoA the stick pushes forward. So I'm fighting it and I'm getting an oscillation effect. Its really cool. But, would like to tone it down a bit. even with periodic effect at 12%, its really heavy.

JYou can eddid the effects in the Telem ini file. I would recommend to see into the user (?) ini, because this settings carry over from version to version while the ini gets reset (can't remember the correct file names, away from the computer). Just check in the TelemFFB channel down low. (knowledge base)
FI also got very intense and gradually worsening oscillations with the newest configurator & TelemFFB. So intense that had no other choice than to push the red button. My hypothesis is that some of the oscillations resonate if there is many or certain periodic effects overlapping. I did not have this issue when periodic effects were turned off. Also no problem with the "release version" of TelemFFB.
FI was worried that if I hold the stick, it will break the mounting points.

FAoA, RPM, gun shake. I believe all of them might have triggered at the same time. Was really pushing AH-64 to test the new version. No G-effect.
WCan you also show your settings? Periodics shouldn't cause such oscillations
