Kit's preference on my part, immutable is better served by flatpak or distrobox, and distrobox has a lot more control than flatpak
Kcase in point, if we went with flatpak we couldn't have latencyflex right now

RI used to do this on silverblue in order for it to have access to wine
K1: we want it default included because we want people to avoid adding games to steam as non-steam games
K2: it works better, Flatpak mesa doesn't have valve's patches for limiting framerate in gamescope
