NQuickest way to be certain would be to test without TelemFFB, however, TelemFFB does not touch spring forces or centering in any way (except for trim on the harrier).
NI suspect the telemetry is going crazy during certain conditions like crashing and system startup. Need to add additional safeguards to ensure the effects can only start under the right conditions.
MI am asking here as there are lots of people and especially Walmis of course who understand FFB and how it works and so might know. There is an issue with the F14, when trying to use the ACLS, whereby when you get to the bit where you hand off control at around 2 miles, the jet will drive down into the sea. Apparently is a Heatblur issue, but it only does it when using an FFB joystick.....any way it could be investigated to understand the cause?

BI was flying the Cabri in MSFS today with hardware force trim turned on in the Configurator, and have hat/button assignments for the various trimming functions, but it doesn't seem to be working. This is what I have set up. Master gain is at 74%, and I typically keep the spring force knob (default assignment) at around 30-50%.. It worked before --- am I missing something? This is with a build that is probably two days old (I haven't installed the very latest one yet).
NTelemFFB doesn’t do anything specific wtr helicopter flight controls (as long as the aircraft is typed properly in the config).

HHi walmis, my joystick stopped forces e few times in the last days. Rudder motor was ok. And the position of the stick was working so I could controll the aircraft. Restarting the flight all was OK again. Do you have an idea or tip where I could search the error?
WHi, did you get a long beep when forces cut out? Which sim? did you use telemFFB ?
WCould you give more info? Perhaps a screen recording of the VP conf app when that happens

HSim was dcs, I did not hear a beep and I tried with and without telemffb. I happened with and without
JI don't know exactly how to do that, if I'm honest. But I see the power goes to roughly 15A and then it beeps and the motors disengage.
JI've tried tweaking the settings on the right, thinking it's some kind of threshhold, but no joy.

BWhen I said that it worked for me before -- I've been mostly in DCS for the last three or so weeks until a couple days ago and so this build is much newer than what I used in the beginning, when it worked.

WAh, so this happens to pedals motor, not the Rhino? Does this happen during sudden movements or just when increasing tension slowly?
HNo problems with the pedals motor. The Rhino joystick looses it's forces.
WI was referring to Jehlybean there, but in your case we to check if there's a hardware fault or just a software bug.

TStar Citizen wouldn’t have any FFB but you can still use them like a regular stick. The electronics would replace the springs for centering forces and be tunable. Probably more tunable than a regular spring stick.
NI noticed my fans running a lot more with the latest telemetry update in the f15. Probably because of the simulated g load on the y axis in turns. How hot can the motors get before it gets dangerous? They sit at around 53c in rate fights constantly.

What I noticed is that X motor status was OK, Y motor was OFFLINE in the VP configurator. I did try reconnecting the PSU, engage and disengage E-stop button, nothing changes.
I had to pack it for now, will continue when I get home from work, but I'm curious can anyone get me any pointers what to look at first?

WDM me when you're available, I'll help you troubleshoot this. My guess it could be a faulty RS485 wire that slipped through testing.

MNot sure if this is a support or general thing. Are helos supposed to be force trim by default in dcs with ffb enabled? I tried the huey, Apache, and gazelle and all of them had spring feeling and return to center. The tension was different, and telemffb effects were playing, so there was telemetry
NAll of that is handled by each individual module. Take a look at the DCS section in the manual in #VPforce Rhino WIP Manual

MJust confirmed all of those options were set, and none of the modules behaved as described. Sticky spring was not enabled. Maybe I'm misunderstanding force trim, but shouldn't the cyclic remain in place when you set it with power on the blades?
NYou have to set up the force trim bindings per aircraft. Push and hold the force trim button (spring goes limp)..maneuver stick where you want…release force trim button (spring returns, center point where you released).

LWith Huey you have to flip Force trim switch on during cold start-up procedure. Before you flip it, stick will have no spring effect. It's in the front part of the centre pedestal.

NI think these are should's.. I think in the Huey, even cold and dark, if you flip that switch, it will enable FFB spring

LA real toggle switch and I didn't have my VR headset on, so I could see my stick jump to attention
