RBecause if I invoke the Return to Gaming Mode, it kills all the applications running
RThen I have to log back into Steam, as it refuses to remember who I am...

Tyou mean proton limit for these older GPUs without newer vulkan support? probably 7 or 8.
Tyou probably have to use 4/5/6, 7 might work too. but 8 and above will be a no-go as it's a hard requirement

ECan you run systemctl status bazzite-autologin for me please? Curious if it's just not enabled for whatever reason
