biggest problem would be the 5pin mini-din cable to connect the Warthog grip, because I could only find 4,6 and 9 pin to buy

Hi, I just received the winwing adapter. But the button presses are not detected. I checked multiple times and the connection with the base seems good to me.
however i tested putting the debug grip.

I think i solved it...I had to unscrew the little spacer below the base of the adapter, maybe with it the pins didn't enter their holes.

So I did a quick test after attaching the base, firmware up-to-date, calibration done, nothing else modified.
FFB activated in DCS, power on (big red know on).
20 cm extension and TM F-18 grip.
And I'm like : where is my force feedback ?

The forces are so light, it feels like my old base (Virpil T-50CM2) with the lightest springs and tension tuned to the minimum...
Turned the black knob all the way to the right, it's slightly better but so so light compared to any real plane I ever flew (from small to big ones, props and jets).

So what did I miss ?

I tested with the Spitfire, Tomcat, Mirage F1, Harrier.
The Spit and the Tomcat are nice, but the forces are too light, and not increasing/decreasing with an increase/decrease of speed (the stick should become stiffer the faster you go and should become more "sluggish" when you slow down)

Try some of the other profiles 📙knowledge-baseRhino Profile Sharing (though you probably have to recalibrate for your stick) . Primarily you need to increase Friction, Inertia, and Damper to get a heavier feeling. Feel free to experiment.

By my calculations, you should get ~2.2kg of force at max with a 40cm lever (15cm Rhino + 20cm ext + grip) . Formula: F_kg = 0.9 / lever in metersFormula: F_kg = 0.9 / lever in meters
You can stiffen up the the spring by reducing the throw range by using "axis scaling" feature or using spring mapping tool.

I have been experiencing something that seems to be specific to the aircraft that I'm using (Cowansim MD500E). TelemFFB throws exceptions pretty much every time I fly, and it seems to happen whenever TelemFFB attempts to generate an effect. It does not do this with the Cabri G2, which works fine. Here's the log... I'm assuming I need to add something to the config.user.ini but I don't know what.

@_blave could be any number of things that aren't implemented properly in that aircraft, or in a way that TelemFFB isn't expecting (or a legit TelemFFB bug...)

But at the very least you should add the aircraft to your config as a helicopter:

OK, that worked. I added this to the user config file:

I googled "translational lift" and more than one source says that it starts between 16 and 24 knots, so I upped the entry speed. I cannot find a reference as to when the vibration goes away. But what I did notice is that the 500E's vibration is of a higher frequency than the Cabri, which is as it should be (5 vs. 3 blades). Nice work, 481.

sweet... keep in mind those speeds in the config are in meterts/second. So rougly cut the knot values in half (.514) to be exact. So that would be 8 to 12 m/s.

Or (I think walmis added this).. you can say 15kt and 24kt and it will be auto-converted at runtime

xplane has no native FFB at all, and the Telemetry software doesnt support it yet (will require a complete new effects module similar to the one for MSFS).
P3D is a fork of old FS and thus has simconnect support, but it is so ancient I don't know if it will work with pysimconnect (which is the underlying simconnect support that TelemFFB uses)
