how do I find the exe for enter the gungeon
I need to find the exe for enter the gungeon to run it through a mod menu
DI found it, but for some reason it isn’t recognized as an exe
BCould you be more specific about what you're trying to do? What is this mod menu? Is it for Windows? Are you using the Windows version of the game, or the native Linux version?
DThe mod menu I’m using is wemod, I’m running the game on my steamdeck
DIt’s the epic games version of the game
DSome video guide for it says you need .net 4.8
DWhich you can install via winetricks
DI’ve got wemod itself working, but it doesn’t recognize the exe file
DWhen I open the file browser through wemod, it only shows files saved in the c drive, but the exe isn’t found there from what I can tell
BWine maps the native filesystem to Z:, so you should be able to find it that way.

NOk, add z:/ in front of that
DI was able to open the game, but for some reason none of my data is there

BHow are you running this mod menu? If you're not using the same Wine prefix and/or mixing Wine and Proton your files might not be accessible in that context.
DI’m running it through proton experimental
DI switched the game to proton experimental, still not working
BSorry, I perhaps wasn't clear in my question. What steps are you following to run the mod menu? Are you doing it external to Heroic? Are you using Heroic's "Run EXE in prefix" feature? Are you specifying an alternate executable? Did you add it as a sideload game?
DI just added the exe to the mod menu
DHow do I do those other things?
