HHi Folks, just trying to get my head around some of the settings in the vpforce config. So do all of the sliders have an impact into the actual ffb effects encountered, not just on applications which dont use ffb? I ask as I am trying to set up the controls to be used in msfs and dcs and hopefully not have to touch it again. I have had my spring set at 50%, is that a reasonable setting to use? Or will that then reduce the effectiveness of somethings in telem? I have no extension on my stick, would appreciate some feedback on the settings.
JAlso depends on your "effects" tab settings... These "settings" tab settings are global settings. Additionally with the TelemFFB, there are config file setting that can be adjusted.
AAnyone else experienced quite bad FPS drop when doing coop plane in MP and the airbrake is deployed?
Mso I have a 10K Ohm pot and would like to plug it in. I have tried it and it works, from the electronics point of view (correctly connected and the configurator works). I would just need to make an appropriate size hole on the top mdf plate of the rhino. What would be the best way to go about it? I would like to remove it completely, it looks I will have to remove a wheel to access one of the screws AND unplug the original pot and the panic button? for removing the wheel, would I need to loosen the belt (by loosening the motor) first, and then unscrew the 5 bolts keeping the wheel attached?

MAs a controller, there's no reason it shouldn't. I doubt MW5 has any kind of FFB integration though
Ai've gotten this interesting problem that seems to manifest itself occaisionally when playing DCS, and it's unclear if it's a Rhino issue or a DCS issue, and if there's potentially a workaround for it that we can do (if it is a DCS issue?) this problem seems to manifest with or without telemFFB. Basically with the F14 sometimes the elevator trim will stop working (and i think it's supposed to work by re-centering the spring. And when i quit the match that i'm flying, and in the main menu for DCS, i see a stuck spring effect that doesn't go away even if i start more F14 games/etc. If i fully quit DCS, then the spring effect does go away. Assuming this is some sort of DCS bug, it might be nice if there was a button i could press to like reset all effects? might help me not having to fully quit DCS to get it working again, which would be nice. unclear if it would cause problems in game if i pressed a button like that though
Nyou could start an instance of TelemFFB with the -r runtime flag. That will kill any effects on the Rhino. Just dont do it while you are in the aircraft and un-paused or it will certainly kill all of the DCS generated effects that are active

NHonestly I dontt hink I've tried it.. It depends on if it only pauses the effects or if it re-creates them when you enter/exit pause
AIt definitely kills the current game you’re in xD
ABut, if you restart the game, it definitely fixes the stray effects, kinda curious to test this on a multiplayer server now

AOk, yeah, it def breaks the F14 completely for that multiplayer session, probably need to leave the server and re-join
Nprob only re-initializes the effects if you pause/unpause which isn't available in MP
AOk, some quick experiments, if I go back to spectators, and run that -r command, then I can re-spawn in an F14 and it does seem to properly initialize again. One of my test runs though, re-spawning in an F14 did result in a dead stick still, however changing to another plane and back to the F14 did fix it, but yeah, this is def a lot better than completely closing DCS and re-launching

NI'm sure @walmis would be interested in some debugs when the loss of force is occurring with DCS though...

AI’m using a 19a 180w power supply and I just burnt up the psu. What should I set max motor amp to to allow overhead with telem FFB effects? Or does that matter? It was a 19.5a and I had the motors at 19a.

WThat's strange, kinda looks like a dcs bug. This appeared only recently right? I wonder if you jump into a different AC it still doesn't get reinitialized?
AIt’s happened before, don’t believe it’s a recent thing. But it did happen to me today which is why I tried to debug a bit further. It’s unclear if spawning another type of plane will fix, but going back to main menu and re-spawning an F14 definitely did not fix

DIL2 SRS comes up with errors and Buttkicker software Sim Shaker Wings Software came with errors. TelemFFB works with no errors and IL2 works
Nhmm.. those apps probably work like TelemFFB and only understand addr and addr1. TelemFFB doesn't barf if addr2 exists, only if itself is not either addr or addr1.

DThe only one that really went further was the SRS guy to add the addr1. Makes me curious as well how are you guys adding a second FFB rudder pedals in IL2?
NThis is why I use 127.255.255.255 as the destination address in the config I write to IL-2. Then any receiver can open a socket on any address in 127.0.0.0/8 on the right port and recieve the stream
Nif everyone is using their own ip/port pairings, then the sim has to replicate the stream that many times. If everyone used the broadcast address, it only has to send it out once
DIm not quite following exactly about why you are choosing 255 instead of the standard 0 in there.
