*Anyone who flies the DCS AV-8B frequently.. Did Razbam fix the FFB trim?
Working on some concept stuff and was referencing walmis' trim-fix implementation in TelemFFB but noticed that the trim following was working even without it running.
I looked to the past 8 or 10 change logs and don't see anything related for the harrier.
By "can do this with octopod" -- I've used Octoprint, but that was three years ago. I looked at the Octoprint and Octopod pages and I don't see anything there about detecting failed prints. Is that what you meant? That's the main reason I started using Octoprint with a Pi camera -- to monitor printing without having to continually go to the room that I had the printers set up in, to see if something messed up.
Truly excellent company. Their quick release mounts are exceptional (and there's nothing else like them). Still working on my overall setup but plan to eventually post pics of how everything came together (Rhino included).
Omg, I just saw the MFG Crosswind FFB Mod. My hope knows no bounds! I've already modified them with a dampener, long before the upgrade kit was released. I am looking forward to modding them even more!
Does the vp rhino softwere get data like this irl chart for example from DCS to set damper, inertia and movement limits per module or is this something that would need to be self researched by the user ?
It's so good you wont know until you try it. Imagine MS Sidewinder 2 FFB on steroids. It'll just about rip your arm off if you want with the sensitivity of so many more factors than even what these simulations provide in FFB ex IL2 only provides like 3 different FFB. This thing is insanely customizable. Look at all the different effects in the community config.ini that you can adjust and set. Its mind boggling once you get it. https://github.com/walmis/VPforce-TelemFFB/blob/wip/config.ini
Mostly the extension should be whatever best suits your setup, but the longer your stick is, the more stress you put on the motors for lesser maximum strength
also do note that the rhino basically comes with a built-in extension and is very tall compared to most bases, so it's probably going to require less extending compared to whatever you've been using so far
With a 5cm extension I get a realistic Y axis throw distance. With a 70% limiter in the X axis it's great. Plenty of power too. If you use a longer extension you will also need to limit the throw angle.
Rhino software for working with DirectInput native ff from game. Telemetry derives ff signals from craft telemetry so you can have ff where devs donβt specifically support it
Basically to get the most of you Rhino you will use the configurator to customize your settings and telem to add more effects than what the game natively gives you.
Yea this thing is a beast. Went from a msffb with the resistor mod (power doubles) with a modded stick grip to the rhino. I thought the rhino would be twice the power in reality its about 5-10 times better than the modded one I had and at most half a millimetre of play at the top of my grip I have on it. Tldr if you can afford one get it.

Have any of you tried the Rhino as a side stick for F16/Space games? Is it easy to switch configs between a shorter throw side stick and long throw center stick? Like, with the Rhino software?
