Ended up just being me completely misunderstanding the intended behavior of a helicopter's cyclic. @Number481 fully explained it above. I'm all set now and loving it now that I'm not fighting how it works based on my former pre-ffb understanding of what to expect.
After doing the auto calibrate my stick wants to settle far forward when playing IL2 and the only way I can bring it to center is to adjust the FFB X and Y axes. Can anyone tell me why or how to adjust it to center by using the auto calibrate or is this normal behavior?
The stick is loose when plan is cold and dark., but when the plane starts it settles forward of center when straight and level flight. After I adjusted the X and Y axes its close to center. Without the game running and the axes adjusted manually and with the stick on it settles just aft of center. It's game related. I only have tried it in IL2, so I don't know if it's the same for other games. I have no idea what a asymetrical throw limiter is so I don't think I'm using one.
Also when I switch to auto pilot and have auto calibrated the stick moves to the center position and when i take it out of auto pilot it again moves forward and the planes nose drops.
Which aircraft in IL-2 and, is this with or without TelemFFB? I noticed, while writing the telemetry module for TelemFFB, that IL-2 tends to do some really weird things with FFB in some of the aircraft
My order number is coming up! i have gotten the email asking me to fill in the Google form, where I ordered the Rhino, and I have chosen PayPal as payment but have not received any message to pay yet. Does that usually take a while?
Just to let you know, you aren't crazy. Just verified I see the same thing with IL-2. I do not recall it doing this the last time I fired it up... suggest you submit a bug report to IL-2, if such a mechanism exists on their forums.
I just hooked up my Rhino to a winwing F18 stick using the winwing adapter. All buttons work except the trim hat. That is; the button works but right/left/up/down does not register. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Does anyone know if the VKB-to-Rhino adapter will work for the new Mk 4 grips/button box? If not, is there a Mk 4 adapter or will there be one on the way?
Ultimately, I was not able to get my WinWing F-16 stick working with firmware version 1.0.16 (it worked with 1.0.15) despite the debug saying the adapter was fine. I switched to the Virpil Alpha grip.
