This recently started happening with me using Forge tiling manager in GNOME. when xwaylandvideobridge on my desktop is running (presumably on startup), a blank white uninteractive window takes up one app's space in the tiling manager

you'd be hardpressed to find a noticeable difference in game performance between a SATA SSD and an NVMe

, which is something that should be living on the NVMe anyway

because it sounds like you've either mounted the SSD to

/home

or alternatively symlinked it, you will need to create a new folder or partition that exists outside of the standard folder deployments and add that back as a steam library

If you have a big enough NVME drive then sure why not but for people that wanted to save money and got a small fast nvme for system and a big slow SSD for files then it is essential to do this separation as it been common practice for years in other distros.
