Of all the big vendors, I've had the least issues with Dell and Lenovo because typically their stuff just works and Dell, especially, handles repairs promptly. With that said, I wouldn't touch anything made by HP with a ten thousand foot pole.

is Fedora 39 builds only. Latest is also Fedora 39 but will automatically update from 39 to 40 when those builds are released

the 00s and 10s management of HP so screwed the company over so bad. they sold off all their good stuff and anything remaining has gotten terrible. selling off their instrumentation was the best thing in the world for the products but the worst for hp itself

Only supported on the Deck derived images and there's no support for NVIDIA with those as NVIDIA hardware doesn't work nicely with it

edit /etc/xdg/autostart/steam.desktop/etc/xdg/autostart/steam.desktop
then add -bigpicture-bigpicture or -gamepadui-gamepadui to the launch command

might be that all you need to do is move out /etc/xdg/autostart/steam.desktop/etc/xdg/autostart/steam.desktop to disable the steam autostart
or it will be enough to just edit that .desktop file

am i right in entering that in konsole? do i need to grant myself pseudo? when i tried "systemctl disable --user app-steam@autostart.service" it gives an error of " the unit files have no installation config [ ] This means they are not meant to be enabled or disabled using systemctl. "

ah ok so i'm on the bazzite-steam file, how would i actually add one of those arguments. on windows you'd do something like make a shortcut and then add that in the properties section of launch arguments but on this do i need to open the file and add that as a line somewhere?

what typically happens is your user edited one in /etc/ will take precedence over usr/share things, but not sure on this one
