Is there a way to set the default input and output in ALSA permanently?

Kgamemode uses wireplumber to set the defaults
Kso making new wireplumber configs will let you do whatever you like
ZEverytime I plug in my audio interface it chooces Line B rather than Line A and often Input 4 rather than Input 1
Kdesktop will inherit that since anything you could do there would come after wireplumber

ZFeels like such a thing that linux OS creators know but barely write about lol
ZI can't find anything about setting a default device sadly, neither in wireplumber or pipewire
ZALSA has some options for it but some small finding points to that it could cause incompatability with pipewire
ZI find it strange however that the options get reset every time. On top inside of gamemode the output and the inputs don't show up correctly in Steam. Instead it only shows the name of the audio device. My only fix so far has been to launch nested desktop and fix it there
ZAhaa, I found "priority" in the
pactl commandZI see that in my UCM config the higher inputs have a higher priority. I guess the lower the number the higher the priority
