it's also why no nvidia build has gamescope, that instant-crashes rather than just performing poorly

You can try using X11 instead of Wayland if you are using wayland

Wayland is a more modern compositor with features like HDR, but Nvidia's drivers have very early support for it

X11 is fully supported by them

Work is being done to patch that up, so hopefully Nvidia on Wayland will be feature complete soon

Which sucks because it was specifically meant to bring a slew of Wayland fixes and improvements, but instead broke both Wayland and X11 for a variety of games

ICD Vulkan loader is broken in 545. And there is no solution but roll back.

For users, it would make sense. Ublue supported multiple driver versions from when the Nvidia image build process was first figured out until the rpmfusion nvidia package maintainers stopped building/mainatining the older drivers

535 is dead, rpmfusion no longer builds it
