Riot also hinted that 2025 may bring "the biggest change to league of legends", after they also mentioned that they haven't change the client due to the "own capabilities of the game itself"
i would prefer linux improvements over mac tbh but hey im biased. apple essentially killed a lot of older games that were ported due to the removal of all 32-bit libs/executables
I'm aware of those. I just want something that creates separate prefixes automatically like Steam. Not myself to configure those every time I want to use something.
Create a prefix, copy that app into that long flatpak .var file location because it does not like anything outside of it's sandbox, even if enabled in permissions. Than import desktop shortcut manually for that app. Install Visual C++, DirectX 9, .NET Framework & other things. Than you have it working.
Steam Common Redistributable is something it's needed for Bottles, Lutris & others imo.
I mean, they threw their tantrum after the lawsuit, they removed support for Rocket League before that, and then killed Fortnite for Mac after that, so yeah, no shot
Well, let's be honest, the reason there's eac linux support is because Valve released the steam deck and it became an absolute hit, and that's a big new market to tap on
When I was a heavy linux user I only played lol, paradox games and some indies, so I really never cared about EAC until fall guys and apex dropped, and by then I started to use windows again
That's kinda what Bottles and Lutris does, it would be neat as you say, that they detect what you are trying to run, look up the recipe automatically and then does all the work for you, but as far as I know, there isn't anything like that right now, besides Steam, which at the end does what Lutris does, use recipes, and even then it's not quite automated because for some games you need to change the proton version, etc
