DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without -dx12 or -d3d12 line argument.
Arch linux. Everything needed from this article - https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/InstallingDrivers.md#arch--manjaro--other-arch-linux-derivatives is installed. Trying to launch game with -d3d12 argument.

is there a reason you need to run the dx12 version? (mostly just curious)
i did notice this specific game doesnt really play nice with vkd3d in wine-ge
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
when i switch to proton experimental game just doesn't launch, will attach anothe log below

well i wana see if thats the reason i can't turn on rtx in settings in this game and also dlss
well, installed vcrun2019, ran via steam proton experimental, still doens't allow to use dx12 and no ray tracing and dlss
the game seems to now know that i am on rtx gpu and doesn't allow to turn on dlss

this game seems to work fine with dx12 in proton for me
ratty-blush•2y ago
The log doesn't tell much
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
i ran proton-ge latest with vcrun2019, everything's fine here
looks basically identical to the dx11 version tbh

-dx12 launch option?
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
i used the dx12 drop down in heroic
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
where is that?
and is it necessary to clean prefix folder on every wine version switch
or am i doing unnecessary thing here
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
its not a bad thing to do so long as you back up your saves
ok so i tried both with -dx12 option and the dx12 drop down in heroic..both work fine for me
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
didn't find it, legally blind

adverse-sapphire•2y ago
but to my point it looks identical to non dx12 so im not really seeing much point
the drop down is right above the launch option

well its magic
having same proton version and same argument i am still having same problem
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
proton isnt going to give useful logs tbh
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
also amybe that's will be important but upon installation of vcrun2019 i see that

sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
instead lf 'installed components: vcrun2019'
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
thats normal
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
then i think im on older version , cuz i don't have that field
using aur 'heroic-games-launcher-bin'

why else might it not work for me? video card isn't old, oll drivers are installed
tho i use nvidia, not nvidia-dkms
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
im on the same version of heroic
i havent tried on my nvidia system, this one is amd
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
an well.. maybe that's the actual case
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
but again i ask why do you want the dx12 one? it looks the same not in dx12 to me
sensitive-blueOP•2y ago
thing is its part of my 'finding out' why in many games dlss either isn't working, or is completely breaking graphics
and i want ray tracing cuz graphics, why not
without dx12 it doesn't allow me to turn it on
vicious-gold•2y ago
there's a bug in heroic rn where dxvk-nvapi doesn't install (it's needed for dlss)
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
yeah there's a thread with a work around
