Alright, that's veeeeeery interesting, the Ultra 5 only losses 2 performance cores but has the same GPU, might be a much better option than the normal Z1 ally, which is btw, atrocious
I guess that's the case with intel, my only other experience with ecores are the A17 Pro and the M1/2, most of my tasks only use the ecores in the mac, afaik
like I said, the bios is meant to bump the temperature back down between 90-95 degrees. I’m not sure about the current state of setting TDP on Ally but it’s very possible the Decky plugin now overrules the bios limits with certain settings
I’m basing all this off my experience in like September/October. There have been many changes to the Ally on Linux since then so it could be different now.
