I suppose my question would be is it a dev board a la Arduino Uno, or is it a sort of GPIO pass-through that you control via your computer? Or is it something else? Maybe a TL:DR summary of what is it exactly? Nice looking board though, as are the docs aesthetics-wise.

Hi @JeremyCook ,
It's a development board for the microcontroller. That means you can write code in any IDE and flash it to the chip (although we hope you will use Embeetle IDE).

The board has an on-board flash/debug probe which you connect to the computer with a USB-C cable.

I'll rewrite that part in the documentation to make this clearer

@techielew Because of the Chinese chips, I would consider JLCPCB or similar companies. Everything else probably brings more headaches and higher cost.

@kmulier As your board is open source, you can apply for OSHWA certification which is free. And then you can ask people at OSH Park for your initial PCB fabrication. And if you are considering to produce them in bulk I think it will be better option to ask JLC or PCBWay for the sponsorship. They will reduce their prices in the exchange of their name to be there on prmotional material and github. I hope it helps
