I'm sure Apple's headset has some advantages over the entrenched but years-old competition. I doubt it will have any consistent advantages over the next wave of products, if there is one. My expectations for A/M/X/VR have been severely tempered by the stagnation and disinterest I have seen over those years working with it. It just isn't necessary for most things, and there are extreme drawbacks to a lot of things it can be used for. I don't think replacing monitors with floating windows is anywhere near enough, especially for $3500. That was always the weakest, least useful front of VR, except for cases like viewing manuals and videos while working on engines. We'll see.
