Kyeah for some reason it wouldn't run when launched from the GUI until after I'd run it from console at least once. Never had a problem since, even after updates, etc. No idea why though (admittedly I didn't try to find out, I just chalked it up to 'shit's being weird' and went on with my day)

FDumb question, the installer didn't save my hostname, and /etc/hostname is random gibberish. Can I clear that out and set what I want, or is there a more official way?

Tyes you should be able to clear it out and put what you prefer on the first line, save it, and it should stay with that name with multiple reboots
