Tnot sure if you're on the desktop/deck image, but have you updated lately? desktop images automatically download system updates in the background but they only apply on reboots
Talthough configure-waydroid should still work on the newest build since it's an alias for setup-waydroid now

KGotcha. I got waydroid running but strangely enough it doesn't open in game mode. I did the same on steam deck and it worked. So not sure what the problem is.

EActually i've never used containers at all, I get what I need from flatpak. I guess a container should work, but I don't really know how to set it up

KOn the desktop if you want steam remote play you can switch to X11 from Wayland
Kalternatively, you can use Sunshine which is a better experience overall
