make a new user, log in, log out
then when plasma6 drops reference the other users folder to see what files to delete from ~/.config~/.config and ~/.local/share~/.local/share that are obvious plasma/kde files
or just go through settings and just restore default on everything you can and hope for the best

The only reasonable explanation is that the hdmi port on my laptop is connected to the nvidia gpu which then made the first time boot up think that the primary gpu is the nvidia gpu and then it worked?
