ABut Nobara did make me appreciate the image-based rollbacks/updates on Bazzite
Aworst case scenario, you could use the old net-based installer iso: https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/releases/tag/v2.2.0
Ait should pull the latest bazzite images, and last i checked it still works
Ait does require an internet connection for installation though

KTry using the Fedora Atomic installer, if it works you can rebase, and if it doesn't I suspect it will fail the same way and we've ruled out it being our issue and can help you debug further

NI've seen this happen when testing using VMs only a couple times and it was when my disk was really busy. I'm wondering if something is going goofy on occasion depending on the hardware being installed to or the USB disk doing the actual install. I haven't been able to figure out exactly where that problem is.

Ntrue. Wiping your drive is definitely recommended.
Ncan be done using anaconda. It will create a whole new partition table to install to.

Lfor context, I'm trying to overwrite an existing Bazzite installation, but I'm deleting the partitions that it created and letting the auto partitioner do its thing so no idea why it doesn't work

AOkay I installed bazzite to a single drive, and now it just seems to hang in-between after the displaymanager gets loaded in, but before the login screen. @nickname Is Bazzite really compatable with running on a desktop?

DIt's an onboard sound card, ALC1220 I think. The mic is a V moda boom pro, works pretty well on windows and on mac

NRight, audio is ever a challenge in the Linux space. My suggestion is looking for a USB headset and microphone or a good sound interface that is compatible with Linux.

NYeah, Bazzite isn't any different at it's core than improvements upon Fedora Atomic. Recommendations for sound hardware are going to be the same for fedora as it is for Bazzite.
