hey I've seen guides for it in x11 but Wayland seems a bit harder, has anyone been able to connect to another computer or tablet over wifi and been able to use it as a secondary display for the steam deck w/ wayland on bazzite?
If they’re getting ready to ship third party (and they need to so that this ecosystem becomes more pervasive for steam) then they will need solutions for controllers, rgb, tdp/fan controllers on other devices I’d imagine
I think it goes back to the fact that you can’t make a device for everyone. But every device could run steam os. Making the steam deck just for themselves isn’t what valve would want as a company. They want a product category
Will Smith on the pc world podcast recently said that valve just has an entire devision devoted to the deck and steam os now. The same podcast also mentioned bazzite but couldn’t pronounce it (bazz-it)
Weird question, but why are the names of Flatpaks in Warehouse, and elsewhere (like in BoilR where you want to add a program to steam), a mix of:
Developer names
Company names
Random variables
Actual names of the programs
Non-descriptant KDE names Heliguy = Warehouse, Lorenzo Paderi = Gearlever, George Florea Bănuș = org.kde.haruna, Mohammed Asif Ali Rizvan = WineZGUI, KDE = org.kde.gwenview but also kcalc and okular, 8bit Solutions LLC = Bitwarden, zocker_160 = Syncthing, and so on? Lack of standardisation? It's the little things like this, that makes you go huh System info: Operating System: Bazzite 39 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Qt Version: 5.15.12 Kernel Version: 6.7.9-204.fsync.fc39.x86_64 (64-bit)
