really don't know on the force trim issue.. that has not to do with TelemFFB.. its all DirectX FFB betwen DCS and the Rhino. as long as you have the "instant" option picked in the 64's special settings, when you push and hold the TR, the spring force on the rhino should go away... when you release the TR button, the spring will return with the center at the new position.
For the gunfire... if you are feeling other effects (engine/rotor/ground/stall, etc).. make sure you don't have unlimited ammo enabled. When its enabled, the ammo quantity never changes and Telem doesn't know your firing a weapon.
