I bought a dual core celeron netbook in 2013 to learn Linux on. I remember using playonlinux to run the gog version of hitman Blood money and shocked that it was fully playable. I’ve played low end games on my intel laptops in Linux ever since
playonlinux that's something i havent heard in a long time. i should mention that i was using linux on laptops, and when i said 'switched' i meant on my desktop. i couldn't do what you did though. i was debating on switching my desktop to linux mint in 2013/2014 but never did. i dabbled it with old laptops and left it there.
I’ve always been kinda protective of my video games and how they run. And I don’t like windows cd keys. When windows 8 came out I was like “I’m just going to learn to use Linux cause this is just going to get worse”. I worked in IT at my college and one of the tech dudes showed me mint
I still have windows on my desktop. I play a lot of online games with my friends will probably keep it cause I don’t want to miss out cause of this. I also wanted hdr and all the fun stuff
But I just think it’s crazy how good wine was even back then
