VI don't know why I'm tempted to do it, I just think the idea of that setup is cool. Even if it is a pain in the ass.

5In the meantime I run sunshine on a Debian server with a dummy dongle so I can use windows and Linux at the same time like a freak
5But it’s such a better solution than using a kvm on a side monitor

VI don't use my GPU enough on my PC, might as well put it to some use on my steam deck
SI've just been using my gaming pc as a headless gaming server with sunshine since getting a handheld. it's pretty great
5It’s bananas how well it works. Hard line Ethernet to a 5700g Debian box and there’s zero latency and artifacting. It’s 1 to 1 and I don’t even have a dedicated gpu
VWhat I was tempted to do was take my 5850U thinkpad and replace my PC with that

5My current laptop keeps running out of ram so I moonlight in my server with 64gb to browse Firefox
VA framework 13 + eGPU is what I want. Being able to just connect it and boot a Windows VM (or just use Linux) is appealing.
Sone time I took my gaming pc and ran ubuntu/kvm on it then passed my video card / usb ports to the vm running windows annnd it was pretty great actually. had to compile a kernel with some pulse audip fixes to get the audio to not be choppy
KI tried to go that route when rembrandt launched, but eGPU was really finicky under linux in my experience and I wasn't willing to put up with running windows
VIf I'm just passing it through to a VM I'm hoping it'll be alright

BTechnically yes.
BEnabling Hyper-V on windows got Kernel level Battleye and EAC working.
BIssue is
BHyper-V disables the vGPU display
BMeaning I get a direct X not being available error
Vcoolercontrol just released the Mix profiles feature. You can now combine graphs from multiple sensors and make a fan act upon which is more appropriate
