OIf there's some kind of "super" button (on the Steam Deck it's the Steam button), press that in combination with X. As long as Steam is running, it should show the same one as on the deck

Jif it's what I think, you're not alone with this issue, in my case just giving the power button a tap and letting it shutdown on its own and rebooting seems to bring it back
