This is just a rebase on latest master from #1021, since I would like to get this merged directly and it seems that the contributor is not available lately.

I was told the original version was added a while back in testing at least at the time but it seems like it got lost or broken at some point as a deckhd user reported the unified slider isn't working which this patch fixes

I installed Bazzite Gnome Edition and had toggled autologin off earlier when i was setting it up after i set up everything now i toggled it back on and it just frozes at the screen of the bazzite logo

this is specifically talking about the desktop image, i can imagine getting the deck image working likely isn't possible using the flatpak (doesn't explain lutris though I guess)

yeah, steams always been an issue in some way or another. damned if you do damned if you dont i guess. as an aside, hdr doesn't seem to work yet from the quick test i just did with uncharted (kde) still being greyed out.
