i just control-F'ed through the entire release tags list finding the earliest version of "40-stable" after i figured out thats the name i was looking for

I think it is something about the gamescope having an update that breaks it on older amd-cards.

Have you tried starting the virtnetworkd.servicevirtnetworkd.service? That's what I have to do, to get my virbr0 interface up.

that service is running but fails with the same errors - must be a permission issue or a missing group
