Hthere is a kernel bug atm that requires you to enable rebar and 4g decoding in bios. if you do not have that option try see if the image from may 2nd works for you

RI mean, my problem was, I tried to put a Hiren's Win11 PE into a USB thumbdrive. Boot into that with Ally. And tried to install Armoury Crate. Now working. Installing driver doesn't work. I put the driver files into the side load driver directory of it, and boot again. Then tried to use g-helper. g-helper doesn't run.
RJust watched this because of a Reddit post. There are plenty of arsholes in the industry including some big names. But Asus seems to be a real big arsholes considering with their brand name popularity and history.

RI have 36GB and 128GB USB empty sticks on me now. What could I do? I need to boot into Windows in order to use Armoury Crate or g-helper for switching back my LEDs on my Ally. Can I use the recovery feature on the BIOS to install Windows into my USB stick? I have dock for Steam Deck and Ally.

RBut then, how do I install drivers for Ally? It seems that the drivers came from Asus Win11 during I run the factory restore in BIOS. The Windows from it has driver shipped along. I tried to download and install those drivers. Didn't work.

Hyou can replace the ssd in the ally, restore windows to it through the bios then remove the ssd and try only boot that one externally? thats what i would have done

RI have an SSD on my Steam Deck. 2TB drive. I'm considering to move it to Ally. Now, I want to migrate everything on my Bazziz3374352te to the 2TB drive first. Because downloading is a nightmare at my place. 100Mbps is still too slow.
Vif you happen to have a 2tb external ssd around then clonezilla off of a ventoy usb will make the transfer to a bigger drive easy and painless and make sure there's no errors. it takes longer though.
CQuestion, does the Bazzite Nvidia image track the Production or Beta branch of Nvidia? reason being is Nvidia beta 555 branch should be releasing next week with explicit sync support which should clear up the flickering issues with Steam since no X11 in Fedora 40

CYeah doesn't look like it, startx throws errors and no session switch options on gdm either. @HikariKnight thanks Hikari, on Silverblue removing and layering the beta driver branch isn't much of an issue, but with the OCI approach on Ublue i've found layering packages that already exist in the image to be problematic.
