Rthe issue here is that nvidia refused to support implicit and wanted to force explicit sync when wayland and most window displays didnt support it yet
Rso in the meantime nvidia basically supported neither
5I was trying to learn KVM and virt manager and wanted to remote into a VM from another device. But the remote desktop protocol gave me a blank screen cause it only worked on x11. There was like no fix for it at the time

RI've also seen remote workers with that issue when clients trying to connect and all of that

Rhopefully wayland finds a way to allow these cases

VThe loss of X11 for KDE while remote desktop under Wayland is a no go, has not been good news for me as I need remote desktop, but apparently some kind of remote desktop will come built into Plasma 6.1

5I ended up just using sunshine on my host device and remoting into that. But that's not a really good commercial solution
3anyone here is able to help me with ALVR? everything work exept one big thing, my headset is pitch black, although the tracking and inputs are working (steamVR viewport) and i tried to launch a game, it worked, but still nothing in the headset

Ron Wayland it uses portals, which you can select the game from there
VAnd with their being a lack of remote login with KDE, in order to use remote desktop at all I have to set my desktop to auto login and then screen lock with a login script after the fact. Not optimal.
